BUDGET VAN LINES REFUSED ITEMS ON CONTRACT DID NOT DELIVER IN TIME CONTRACT SPECIFIED NEW YORK New York

I contracted Budget Van Lines on May 14th,2008 to move some household belongings from Springfield Ohio to Pascagoula Ms.I was not informed they were a broker that some unknown would be moveing my belongings.

I described to Rachel at Budget Van Lines exactly each piece of furniture to be moved. I explained to her I was on total disability and could not afford hidden costs. She told me the items I described to her which did have some glass to them could be blanket wrapped.

Alpha Van Lines 2727 Ocean Park Way, Brooklynn, New York showed up to pick up my belongings, they told me the items that Budget Van Lines told me that were in my contract could not be taken they had to be bubble wrapped at $40 for each item. I said i can not afford that Budget said you could blanket wrap them.

The drivers from Alpha went ahead and wrapped my two bookcases with glass with bubble wrap and cardboard and left them sitting in the middle of the living room floor. I said I am not going to lose my $400 deposit what are you gonna do? So they took packed boxes instead which really didnot need to go at that time. I immediately called Budget Van Lines they said someone would call me back and they never did.

I explained to Budget Van Lines and Alpha Van Lines I was flying to Mississippi the next morning so I would be there to except my belongings.Alpha picked up my belongings at 4:45 pm on May 23rd 2008, I flew from Ohio the next Morning on the 24th (Saturday) I was to fly back to Ohio on Sunday May31st.

On Tuesday the 27th of May I started calling both Budget and Alpha asking where my belongings were and when they were going to be delivered. Ross from Alpha said they were in storage he was looking for a truck to go to Mississippi, kept telling him I was guarenteed 7 day delivery and I had a plane to catch back to Ohio.

AS the week progressed still no delivery date Ross started to become rude and started hanging up on me, said "lady what do you expect me to do???? then hung up on me.

Finally by the end of the week he said he would have my belongings delivered by the middle of next week wich exceeded the 7 days plus he still refused to tell me where my belongings were stored. I told him I had a plane to catch, said sorry all he can do.

So I paid Delta Airlines $100 to change my flight to Sunday June 8th,2008 so I also had to pay extra for meals and etc to stay in Mississippi an extra week.

Alpha Van Lines didnot deliver my belongings untill late evening on Saturday June 7th. I feel they breeched my contract twice by not takeing the items I explicitly described in detail as to what i needed moved, then takeing an extra week to deliver.

I contacted Budget Van Lines twice this week they refused tolet me file a claim said they didnot do anything wrong..plus they said that Ross from Alpha would be calling me he has not contacted me and refuses to take my calls to see about reimbersement for this mess.
