Capital Acquisitions and Management Company Aka CAMCO Fraudulent attempted collection of non-existent debt. Rip-off! Rockford Illinois

I received a letter this past Saturday from "CAMCO" stating that they had purchased outstanding accounts formerly held by Midland Acquisition Corp., and that an account supposedly in my name had an outstanding past due balance in excess of $1,000.

Before contacting CAMCO and requesting proof of the original debt, I noticed that although the letterhead of the company read "Capital Acquisitions [plural] and Management Company", the name of the company in the body of the letter read "Capital Acquisition [singular]..."

No reputable company would make such an obvious error in their written communications. So I decided to go to the Web and check them out.

Lo and behold! I found your website, which contains numerous recent complaints about CAMCO's attempts to fraudulently collect supposedly outstanding debts -- many of them 10-15 years old!

I am now going to contact my attorney. Thank you for your vigilance!
