I had been with Central for over ten years.  Problems began after I became union.  Casting company not only charged me for re-registering (illegal), but for scanning my photo (which they did not do).  I have been on sets where a Central friend describes being friends with one of the "agents" and working all the time because of it.  I was registered with Central when it was a general policy that the actors who got the most work bribed them with the best presents.  I was on a set with Lizette who booked herself to a job after being fired by Central (only to be rehired).  If you speak up as a union member for rights that you have as a union member, you are never hired again.  I was asked to work on a set for two days, and was asked to come back, but couldn't due to a doctor's appointment a couple of years ago.  I have not worked for them since.  If you ask where a location is (they never tell you if it is far away, unless you ask), then you do not work again.  They never refunded our fees, even though it is against the labor laws to charge fees, however, after Backstage West's article on them, they never charged again.  I know of non-union actors getting as many as ten union vouchers (you are supposed to only have three and then you become a must-join), so Central must know this and in effect, are guilty of stealing jobs from union members to give to their favored few.
