January 2009 my social security disability payment was late hitting my bank and my automatic chase credit card payment bounced at Chase Credit Card Services. The credit card limit is one thousand dollars ($1000). They charged me $39 overdraft fee and a $39 late fee and a $25 finance fee, which put my card over the limit, so they could charge me another $39 over the limit fee and raise my interest rate from 14% to 24% and my payments from $21 to $137, which I cannot afford.
They laughed at me over the phone and refuse to work with me on the payments or adjust anything. This is what happens when you bail these greedy giants out. They take the bail out money and go on vacation and get it back with price gouging. I understand this is going to be illegal in 2010 with a bill passed in Congress. So, our government said that these practices are illegal, but we're going to let you do guys do it for another year. WTF

on the card? They did or your own wreckless spending? It's not their fault your check was late or that you ran your own card up. Or do you somehow feel you can do as you please with no repercussions?
And these bank got bailouts because the government is who put them in this position to begin with by making them offer credit to those who really shouldn't have been offered any.
