The unwillingness to assist anyone and quote impractical policies is outlandish. The desparate(of which I was one) are paying an enormous amount of interest, to find that after you sign your name service ends. It being a holiday, and knowing my direct deposit would be a day late, I called to postpone it a day. Nope. No chance. Against their policy. I was rudely told. I talked with three people in the hopes of finding someone who would understand that this wasn't me trying to walk away from anything, but a banking holiday existed and as such deposits are delayed. Against policy is the only answer. So now, I will be stuck with NSF fees because they won't recognise a Holiday. I asked them to email me where it states this No exception policy. Nothing. No email. No response. They will suck more of my money because they too will hit me with a return check fee. I have learned this lesson.  A very expensive lesson.

Complaint?

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

POSTED: Sunday, September 01, 2013

On exactly what grounds did you file your "complaint"?

That they were rude?  - Good luck if that was grounds for an AG complaint the AG would be so overwhelmed they wouldn't be able to go after the real criminals.

That they won't make an exception?  - Again Good Luck but there is no regulation I have ever seen that says a lender MUST make an exception or change the agreement just because the borrower requests them to.

That they "prey" on the desparate?  -  Guess what..they didn't come to you..you went to them.  So sorry to break this to you but you are an adult who must take responsibility for your actions.  Regardless of how "deparate" you thought you were you of your own free will could have walked away if you didn't like the terms.  But you CHOOSE to get a loan with them, and they only became a problem when you wouldn't do what you wanted to do.

Well I hope you post the result of the AG's investigation regardless of the outcome.

I do actually have one other "hope" for you.  If they do an ACH transaction on the holiday because the banks are closed it may not actually hit your bank until a day later.  Where if your DD is delayed..it may actually work out and all of this stress you have put yourself through may be for nothing.

Service

We could go in circles here about wording and interpretations of such. The point of my complaint is still factual. They do prey on the desparate. No blaming others. Not sure where that interruptaction came in. So, I will  say it differently. Life hit me hard for a few months. I was over my head. I did the best I could and made mistakes in how I tried to manage it all.

Their customer service after you sign is non-existent. I did this Post in the hope of preventing others from making the same mistake I did. I have already filed a complaint will the States Attorney, who is willing to move forward with this case.

Not Judging..

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

POSTED: Saturday, August 31, 2013

No where in my post did I judge you about why your credit was bad.  If you actually go back and read it I stated that the reason your credit is bad does NOT matter.

And if you again actually go back and re-read my reply you will see it had EVERYTHING to do with your post.  One of your main points was that you asked them to e-mail you the part of the contract that says there are no exceptions.  Okay...so again I will ask why didn't you ask them to e-mail you the portion of the contract that says they MUST make an exception?  If you don't understand what that point was in relation to your post then I guess there is sadly nothing more to be said and hope that you wallow in your "blame everyone else" attitude until you do figure it out.

Oh but one final item.  If you have another creditor that did...great.  Next time you need a loan I am sure they will be the ones who will get your business.  But who knows what type of creditor they are or the circumstances of your account with them.  And NO I am not asking you to post your details of that account because again it does not matter.  Where even though they did..it does not make it a ripoff if another company doesn't want to do what you want.

Judging others?

AUTHOR: Ktmax - ()

POSTED: Saturday, August 31, 2013

THough your reply had nothing to do with my acutal complaint, I will submit a rebuttal, since I don't like being judged without someone having facts.

I lost my job in March, not for work ethics or values, but due to a major downsizing. In April we had a flood. I lost everything in the basement, including our furnace, hot water heater, washer dryer, all furniture and electronics. Insurance did not cover any of this this. Had to cash in my 401K to cover clean up costs. I got a job offer in mid June, and had all bills 3 weeks behind at this point and no money in the bank. My son needed his maintenance meds which even with my insurance was $165.00 a month. I didn't want anything affecting my credit, but was unemployed and couldn't get a traditional loan. Plus it would have taken weeks.

Before I signed on the electronic dotted line, I read each portion of this agreement. Nowhere did it say nothing could be altered. This is why I asked for them to send me prrof that this existed. Could I have missed something? Possibly. I am not a contract lawyer. Would I have still signed? I honestly don't know. I was at the lowest point in my life, and acted again in desparation.

As for the due date, no they do not legally have to pay you a day early.

Please think before you judge someone. I am trying to survive to the best of my ability. Trying to be pro-active in alerting a debtor of an issue. I did this with onbe other an the same day, and they postponed the due date one day, and even thanked me for calling. That is what should be done when someone tries to resolve a problem.

This is why you are in the situation you are in.

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

POSTED: Friday, August 30, 2013

It's all about attitude, and in your case the wrong attitude.

I asked them to email me where it states this No exception policy.

- How come you didn't ask them to e-mail you the "We must make an exception" policy?   Oh because that doesn't exist.

The fact is that you on your own free will felt you needed to go to this company.  The only reason you had to go to them is because you have screwed up your credit(oh and the reason doesn't matter).  As such YOU made a legal agreement that said you would make payments on certain dates.    Interesting how when you "needed" the money you didn't have any issues with their policies..you only had a problem when they don't do what you want them to do.

Now, one issue you have is with your Direct Deposit.  With it being a Holiday your DD should actually go in a day BEFORE the holiday not be delayed a day.  So if you have any isssue it may be with your place of employement.  Because in some States that is actually illegal.
