CIC Credit Monitoring Svc ripoff unauthorized fraudulent billing Orange California

I checked my bank statement today 5/8/03. I found a charge for $79.95 from April that I did not authorize. I've never even heard of this company. I never signed up for a free credit report or credit monitoring, I have no idea how they got my card number!! I've got a firewall on my computer so I have no clue how this happened.
I'm calling the bank in the morning hopefully they will help me and also prevent them from getting anymore money from me. I try to very careful on the internet. I only use my card for purchases and htat is very rare, and only at big name web companies. This makes me so mad. Who do they think they are!!! Now I'm in the whole with the bank $285.00 because of these people.

I really hope I can resolve this. I called hte 1-800 number on my bank statement below the transaction and of course they had to have my card number to check on it. Now if I signed up for their service wouldn't I have given them my name and address etc. How else are they supposed to check my credit and monitor for me without all my vital information? They should be able to check the so called account with my name or something, I'd be crazy to give them my card number!! Do they really think we are all that stupid?!
