Adding to the 3 reports already out there about this company:
I replied to a job posting on CraigsList on 12/21/08 for Clown Monkey Clothing. Shortly there after, i received an email stating that i should post on their message board otherwise I wouldn't be considered for employment. After 2 minutes of reading over some posts on the message board, the "president" of clown monkey clothing stated that over 5000 people from all over the country have applied for the half dozen job openings.
So after that I was hoping that it would just blow over and go away. Then on 12/29/08 i saw yet another job posting for the same exact 3 positions at clown monkey clothing!!! the same job posting from the company that already has 5000+ applications. . . .
Next thing I know, I received an email today from clownmonkeyclothing.com. They said they were offering the opportunity to share my information to other companies that are looking for employees.
Clown Monkey Clothing has now 6 job openings, and the "president" Tim White says there is now over 7,000 applications. Now they are willing to share my personal info with others?!?!
Very unprofessional approach to employee seeking (if in fact thats what this is) and now I wonder what is really going on with all of us and all our personal information.
On top of all that, I have tried to post on the message board my concern on the matter, yet they now have implemented a "moderator approved only" filter which only approved messages get put on the message board. and my completely clean and NON offensive post concerning this matter was blocked. Proves to me that plenty of other people feel the same way i do.
my advice: stay away!! unless you want someone clownin around with your information.

They even sent ME and e-mail saying I was going to round 2
AUTHOR: Nightshift - (U.S.A.)

Dude they even sent ME an e-mail saying that I was one of the "few" that was selected for round two of the interview process, and this is after I removed myself from their mailing list, and was banned from posting on their forums for calling them out on their B.S., so I guarantee they sent that e-mail to everyone, and it is absolute proof that these people are scum.
On a side note, someone is copying my rip off report posts and reposting them on other sites, like "complaintboard.com" and another one on some other site. I find this very strange. If it is someone around here please let me know, I would prefer that you write YOUR OWN complaint/report/whatever, rather than use mine without my permission.
I have a gut feeling that it may in fact be the monkey people themselves, in some effort to make me look fanatical or something. I really dont think any normal intelligent person would do something like this.
What a bunch of losers.
For the record, I only posted here on rip off report. I did not post on complaint board or the other one.

Also Wary

I have also been applying with Clown Monkey Clothing. I have emailed the head monkey with questions about the position and pay and still haven't received an email. I was also sent an email that told me that I made it to the next round. From what I am understanding they sent this out to almost everyone. This means that they have essentially used us to get more people to their site. It is sad that many of us were tricked especially during this time where many people are looking for jobs to support their families.

I too am wary now about this company. I applied...then went to make some posts..then received a letter saying I had made it to the next round...and to fill out an online interview..The instructions said under no circumstances should we let anyone else know that we made it to the next round...then the first thing I see in the message boards minutes later..is people posting how they also received this congratulations..you made the next round e-mail.
It would be great to work for a company like this if it was a real opportunity..But now I fear I have been duped into one of the biggest marketing ploys I have ever seen.
It has been a month..and there are supposedly 6 jobs...with no job descriptions by the way...and to hear that everyone seems to be getting this congratulations e-mail leads me to believe that none of us has a real chance to be doing anything for this company other than spending money...I will hope that I am wrong about all this....But I'm not participating anymore in the message boards, or waiting by my computer to see if I get another congratulations e-mail (that everyone else is getting too!)
perhaps message board complaints are not enough...perhaps the media should be enlightened to the plight of thousands who seemingly are being duped.
Lets wait and see......question...how many of you received this next round e-mail?..maybe if its only a few than there may be a legitimate cause here...but if thousand are getting this e-mail, then we have proof its all a ploy.

It's obvious this is a marketing ploy
AUTHOR: Tammy - (U.S.A.)

The amount of traffic and interactivity on the site are an obvious and successful marketing ploy to increase their page rank, and SE rankings. This is a shame though because I read through the posts and most people really believe there is a wah job available to them.
It is a shame that this company is preying on the vulnerabilities of desperate job seekers.
Also, the warnings posted on Craigslist are all 'flagged' for removal. Those are valid concerns and should be read by potential 'employees'. It's a shame that the marketing company whizclick.com and Tim isn't a kinder person to let these people know that he isn't going to have a job for them, he is more than likely just increasing his ranking online, and gathering email addresses possibly for sale, or for future spam.
I am sorry for those looking for real work on there, and please KEEP LOOKING ELSEWHERE- if you need a job!
