Conseco Finance ripoff St. Paul Minnesota

My husband and I purchased a mobile home in January, 2000. We were told at the time of the purchase that we had really high interest rates because neither of us had any credit.

We were also told that after 6 months we would be able to refinance for less interest and lower payments. We had told the salesman that we could not afford payment in excess of $400, but the day the papers were to be signed the amount was $424.67. He talked us into it with the assurance of re-financing.

Six months later there were no available programs that met our needs. I contacted the company on a monthly basis and sent in re-financing applications with letters BEGGING for help. I got sick in January of 2001 and Conseco called our house multiple time on a daily basis. They were very rude and ugly to both me and my husband, demanding a check over the phone. They also started calling our friends and family and told them we were behind on our payments.

I wrote letters explaining my situation. My husband lost his job and insurance, we were paying for over $300 worth of medecine and we needed desperately to re-finance. We got no help. I really went rounds with them sometime between May and August of 2002. I was under so much stress because of this company I had complete Kidney failure. I am sure I would have probably had it anyway, but not so soon. I had HIGH blood pressure all the time and had major anxiety problems because of Conseco.

I quit answering the telephone because I was scared it was Conseco. I really believe they were a major contributor to most of my medcical problems. I am now on dialysis daily and I am awaiting a transplant. (At the age of 25!) I would appreciate any help if anyone has any ideas. cantact me through the rebuttal key.
