If you have a loan with Conseco/Greentree and you get behind in your payments the collections department will call and hound the crap out of you to collect. First off never give them your account numbers. Use a tape recorder and record the calls, anything abusive file complaint with the Fair Debt Collections. Always keep a copy of the recording for yourself. Always try to be polite let them be the jerks that they are.

You may have an inflated appraisal (predatory) if you qualified for a loan under their "no income verification loan program" This is what I did, I got a copy of my appraisal from Conseco, then I hired an appraiser in my area to do an appraisal, I compared the two appraisals, then filed a complaint with Department of State Division of Licensing, I sent in a copy of both appraisals, The Dept reviewed the appraisals then did an investigation,brought the appraiser and his supervisor to a hearing, both parties admitted to violations. It took two years from the time I filed the complaint to get it into a hearing. Next step is to hire an attorney that will go after the appraiser and his supervisor to sue them which is not going to be a walk in the park.
