 When we first participated inthe sales pitch, everyone was most friendly until we signed on the dotted line and returned home.

First, my credit card was used to make payments without my knowledge; when I tried to make contact, no one answered the phone after placing me on hold.  I waited for over a half hour then hung up.  I made several calls afterwards and the same thing happened.  I finally decided to stop using my credit card and requested paper invoices.  Invoices were received for the most part after the due date.  I wrote letters of complaints and was told "I know when the bill is due so I should send whether I receive an invoice or not.  I requested to eliminate the last fees since they did not sent invoices in a timely manner but was refused.  I was told it was my responsibility to pay on time.  I responded that the contact was between both them and me.

Since  being a so called owner of this timeshare, the maintenance fees have become extremely high  and without explanation.  When I do receive mail from them, the figures don't often match and I don't get a reasonable explanation.  I am told that it's because of interest charged due to late fees; yet I only get monthly statements showing what's due (often time atfer payment is due).  I call and complain but to no avail.  Of the times I have called, I have only had one employee of DRI speak to me in a couteous and helpful manner.  I send letters of request asking for written responses to my inquiries but have never received anytime in writing.

I really want to default on this but I don't want to damage my credit. 

My husband and I have a very, very bad taste and experience with DRI and don't want to have anything to do with the company.  This has truly been an experience from h**l!!!!
