We went through the timeshare presentation, in Orlando, FL. the entire time we asked "how much" and they would not tell us until the end. It was too much but we were interested in the program. So they brought what I now see as a "closer" in. The sales person John Feliciano, promised us use of the timeshare just like an owner except for trading points for airfare and cruises (he also said we could get 2 years to use it insterad of 18 months and 3k in extra points but ofcourse there is no record of that).  John offered us a "sampler" package since we couldnt commit to the full timeshare ownership. He said we could use the timeshare sampler of 18,000 points just like an owner except for the ability to trade in points for airfare and cruises. He didnt show us a book of the locations becuase he said that was "old fashioned" and most people went online to view them - but you cant go online to view them until you get your user name and password. He promised to have that to us via email within a week but it never arrived. Once we received our user name and password by mail after more than 30 days, we found we had a limited list of locations to use the timeshare at!! We were told we couold purchase more points to use it at other places outside of this list. We specifically purchased this to take a family trip to S. America or Europe. Our choices are a few places in the US only. We tried to cancel right away. We were told the cancellation dept didnt have a phone number and we had to write a letter. We did - no response. The collection calls started. We complained again and they gave us a fax number to send our letter to. The rep on the phone said give them 10 days to respond they have alot of cancellations to handle. We faxed the letter - no response. We started getting contacted via email so we sent the complaint via email. We were given a number to call. We again told our story and were told too bad, you signed the agreement and this is being reported to the credit bureau. There has been no attempt to rectify this or help satisfy us as customers. We signed up for this with all intetions of paying and using this program. If we liked it, in the future we hoped to become full owners. But we cant even get someone on the phone to talk to aboout this! Nobody is being held accountable at Dimaond resorts. We are just being told TOO BAD. The total charge for the sampler is $2000. We put a $400 deposit down and then were to be charged $100+ per month on our credit card. We cancelled the credit card and refuse to pay until someone agrees to work with us. The cancellation policy is 10 days but how can I make an educated decision to cancel within 10 days if I cannot even access the site or get information on our program? They call every day fromt he finance dept looking for their money, but nobody ever responded to our email, letters and faxes. This company promises you can talk to the president if you have any issue but that is b.s. I am mad for being lied to, I am made becuase now my credit is being affected and I cant talk to anyone about it, I am angry that companies like this are even allowed to do things like this and i mad at myself for even doing this! So much for trying something new. So much for trying to get the most of my hard earned money. I just want to cancel. They can keep the $400+ deposit. I didnt use their services at all and I should not be held accountable for paying for something that isnt what I thought I was buying!
