Issues with the car 1996 Suzuki x90. Purchased April 20, 2010 Received May 2, 2010

1.      Windshield is cracked and pitted

a.       They were going to replace it if they felt it was bad before it left, it was.

2.      Smell- mildew lots of rusty mud under seats and in the trunk.

a.       Removed seats and carpet to wash to no avail.

b.      Breathing issues

3.      Siliconed headlight bucket- suspended by home made brackets screwed in to the frame and plastic with two inch screws.

a.       They knew about this before the paint job, they took the lights out for the painting .

4.      Tires- Front drivers side has a plug in the sidewall. Nether fronts match or match the backs

                         a.   have to air up before driving

5.      Locked in park. Sometimes it takes up to 45 minutes to get it to released.

a.        Not safe to have my elderly parents stuck in some parking lot or late for a doctors appointment. Or cant get away from home in an emergency.

6.      No spare tire, lug wrench or jack.

a.       If the plugged tire blows it cant be changed.

7.      Muffler is rusted and the shell is falling apart.

8.      Oil dip stick is broke in half.(Handle is missing)

9.      The radiator support is pushed back where the headlight could not be installed.

a.       Front end damage not fixed.

b.      It needs to be pulled out about 2 inches.

c.       A/C and radiator need pulled out about 2 inches too. New used headlights need to fit

10.  Seats were coming apart at the seams.

a.       Not a big deal, I sewed them

11.  Locking gas cap with no key.

12.  The hood release that is wired to the latch sometimes keeps the hood not latched.

a.       Not good for any highway or street driving

b.      The over bite on the hood makes a good wind catch.

13.  Car has a 30 day warranty on it.

I suggest to Jason that this is a flood car with all the rust and mud that I cleaned out. With the mechanical problems it is a salvage car. The wreck that it had been in had never been properly repaired.

Many other problems but these safety ones are the big issues to me.

Buyer:

               1.      I mentioned to Jason that this car should have been  a salvage car he said    probably so

2.      I mentioned that the stink, mud and rust were caused by being water logged at some point.

3.      Got an estimate for repairs in getting the head lights in.

4.      Sewed the seats.

5.      Bought 1 good used head light $115.00 one bad used headlight head light $45.00 (ebay)

6.      Took out seats and carpet. Mildew stink still there.

7.      Tried to work with the dealer for repairs. I shopped on ebay to try to save them money.

8.      I asked several times if there was anything that about the car that would make me walk away.

9.      Ive been in touch with them almost daily and always waiting to hear back.

10.  Im tire of trying to fix this car to be safe.

Dealer: Discount Auto Sales~

9901 E. Kellogg Dr.Wichita, KS67207

                  316-686-3538 ~ Sales person Jason

1.      Said it will be a great little car for my folks.

2.      Said it had a smell that he couldnt identify.

3.      Had problems with the park issue at the shop, before the paint job.

4.      When the mechanic showed him the broken headlight and suggest they be siliconed. Jason said yes do that. They were reinstalled with the two inch screws to the home made bracket.

5.      All it would need is maybe a set of tires in the future.

6.      If the windshield needed replaced they would replace it before they sent it out.

7.      Said it was a trade in. It was sold to them from a title loan company after a repo.

8.      Agreed that it should have been salvaged because of the damage, mold and rust.

9.      Never call to discuss the known safety issues before the paint job, or after.

10.  Said Keep tabs on all your repair work.

11.  Owner said I was trying to make a used car into a new one. Im just trying to make it safe with junk yard parts even, to save them money.

12.  Said I dont think it is that unsafe

13.  Offered $250 final, thats it

14.  This is the kind of car $3600 buys.

15.  Jason said he went to bat for me but the owner would not sway to make it right.

I was told what a great car this would be for my folks. The only thing it would need would be maybe some tires. Note the plug in the front passanger tire. The cars condition is what was delivered to me. Yes I bought it on line from them. My mistake, they represented the car as great. After I told them of the found condition Jason said he thought the car should have been salvaged too and matbe it was a flood car. They sold a piece of crap admitted it and told me to "keep  track of the work that you have done too it and how much it costs you" In the end the owner wanted to pay $200 then $250 for the $885 estimate to get the front end straighted out so the headlights will fit properly. The stuck in park ussie is not ever included in that or the tires that don't macth with a plug in the front one. The stick in the car from prehaps being in a flood is another issue in it's self.

If you read on the original report you can just know how wrong it would be to put a couple 70 year old folks in it.

You paid $200 or maybe $250 (you mention two numbers).

For $250 did you really expect it to be more than salvage?

Really?
