I switched from cable to Dish Network. The price was supposed to be $39.99 for the package, but was billed $59 per month. When I called, Dish Network generously offered to reduce the bill by $15, but only for the first 6 months. I decided to cancel the service and go back to cable.

Terrible customer service. Had to call twice to get boxes to return the receivers. When the boxes and shipping labels finally arrived, I found out that UPS will charge $10 plus "fuel surcharge" for the pickup. Dish refuses to to pay for this charge or send shipping labels to include the pickup, even though they are supposed to pay for shipping. Customer service is very poor - apparently to somewhere in India with poor English, they are rude and refuse to connect you to managers or anyone who can solve any problem.

Do not believe anything this company promises. Do not give out a bank account number or credit card number. Beware.

You want to know why he replied so fast because he works for them in their department that is suppose to be the one who decides everything that is why he answered so quick and he defended them.

just had to throw that 2 cents in

Wonder why Mattfast1 took it upon himself to answer this one? He's of no help to the post. What matters here is that Dish Network is once again gave one price as stated many times in these posts and the bill did not match said price. If these things were such an issue, it should have been brought to his attention by the operators. Never added to the bill without knowledge. That's why he's in here is because of the callousness of Dish Network and customer support representatives like you that don't tell anyone what to look for until it's too late. You, mattfast1 are not helping these posts, you hinder them by sticking up for this company and not realizing that many, many times they are in the wrong!!! But, isn't that why you are here to make them look good?

any person interested in signing an electronic petition or physical petition against dish network feel free to contact me with your problem in email with contact info and I'll forward it to Dish Network! Time to let them know we mean business about who we are... the consumer. Once people like mattfast1 stop shoving how wrong WE are down our throats and realize he works for a company that has over 11,440 complaints in 36 months. He might understand that there are gonna be upset people and to stop blaming us!!

You stated your package was supposed to be $39.99. What did that include? What promotion did you sign up under? Did it appear on your bill as "DishDVR Advantage"? What other items were listed on your bill? Did you have dual-tuner receivers without phone lines hooked up to them? Any premium packages? I ask all of these questions because they do make a difference on your bills.
