I was charged a recurring charge that I asked to have refunded within 1 day. I was told that I would only receive a partial refund, then when I complained was told I would receive a full refund. I waited a couple weeks and contacted customer service again to ask where the refund was. I was told that the delay was customer service's error, and was finally refunded the full amount of the charge.

Doostang just billed me again, a different amount this time as if they signed me up for yet another service with a recurring fee. This was billed entirely without my permission.

It is as if they have decided that they can take from customers' bank accounts whenever they choose - I wonder, is it to meet payroll?

Avoid the company, they treat your bank account as their own after you sign up.

If the company is sincere they would compensate you for your trouble because it was truly a major error in their billing system and their fault. Otherwise the apology is meaningless.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Apologies and Resolution

AUTHOR: Kevin - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 16, 2011

As the Doostang employee who handles many of the customer inquiries, this case included, I would like to offer my sincerest apologies to the member who was inconvenienced by a technical error in our system. This was an honest mistake and we take full responsibility for the error. The problem has since been resolved and all monies refunded.

We are a small company with a large user base and try to accommodate the requests of all of our users as quickly as possible. We try our best to keep our community members satisfied but in this instance we did not succeed. On occasion, there is an error on our end and we try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

To avoid confusion and billing disputes, we do ask that subscribers and prospective subscribers briefly review the Terms of Service, specifically the renewal and refund policy. All questions can be emailed to me directly at kevin@doostang.com.
