Buyer Beware! Dishonest Business Practices!!!

Where do I begin... I guess from the beginning. About 2 months ago a sales rep from DCI, INC.  named Richard came to my house and gave me quote for driveway work my family and I were looking to have done.
As he was there he also mentioned they were doing EP Henry walkways. To make a long story short we agreed on the EP Henry walkway, the driveway and the extension of the driveway.  They also gave a quote to my neighbor. Both of us signed a contract at that point. I left a deposit of $2500.00 and they said would begin in 2 weeks.

One month  later they began work on my neighbors walkway , halfway through the owner  of the company fired the people working on the walkway. He then sent a subcontractor out to finish the work and then proceeded to ask for more money than the originally agreed upon price.  My neighbor had recently had major back surgery and was unable to deal with this and paid the inflated price.  The new subcontractor did a great job, so he then started on my walkway. DCI led me to believe they did the work, but in fact they sublet the work out. Which I have no problem with if it doesn't cost me anymore money than the original figures agreed on.  The owner of the DCI asked me to pay the sub contractor directly , which I was happy to oblige since the workmanship was fantastic. The sub contactor and I also drew up a separate contract.  I paid him $3800.

One month later , with 2 of those weeks DCI had their equipment on my driveway and empty promises of them coming to complete the work each day, they finally arrived and paved the driveway. After they completed paving I went out to inspect it, I noticed a bump in the driveway, a dirty garage door, damage to my garage frame, dirty cement leading to the driveway, dirty cement leading into the garage, and ripped irrigation system with one of the heads laying on top of the grass which Richard said every job has a irrigation system, and it wouldnt be a problem.   Part of the contract was the installation of my sons basketball pole. Which we told them it would require 6 bags of cement to hold properly and they only used 2.  I hope it keeps. DCI left a mess on the street. When I called them to discuss these blatant issues, they got very disagreeable and wouldnt listen to any of my issues or concerns. They were just looking for more money. DCI said the job was underestimated by Richard their manager for additional materials and labor, and would cost an additional $1500.00. This was not stated anywhere on the contract.

If you want to find problems and dishonesty DCI is the company for you.
