My husband and I were in a very bad financial bind in 2001. We decided that we needed to seek the help of a debt consolidation company. As we looked, we came across Elimidebt Management Systems. They promised that we would pay a one time fee to enroll and secure payments to our creditors. After that there would be a set payment on the 18th of each month. From there, we were not to have to worry about anything, they said they would distribute our money to our creditors.

After six months of making our monthly payment on time our creditors began calling and sending letters requesting payment. After contacting our creditors about this, we were told that they had not recieved any payment from Elimidebt Management Systems. My husband and I immediately called Elimidebt and after trying for three weeks, we were finally able to get through, although it ended up being a very heated conversation by the time it was through. Elimidebt told us that payment had been sent to all of our creditors and that there was an error with our creditors if they were not showing any payments recieved, all 8 of them.(Hard to believe, huh?-We thought so too.)

Elimidebt informed us that our account was deliquent because we had not sent anymore payments. But honestly, if you had paid out over $2,500 and none of your creditors had recieved any of it, wouldn't you be reluctant to continue payment to Elimidebt? We have since tried several months to talk to someone at Elimidebt about terminating our contract. We still have not been able to get anyone over the phone. I think that it seems Elimidebt is trying to avoid us because each time we get an answer and they get our account information, we conveniently get disconnected.

Elimidebt is a dishonest company and they should be shut down. Forget closely monitoring them. I am 23 years old and my husband is 21. We also have two small children. We don't need this aggrivation and stress from an illigitimate company such as Elimidebt who told us first thing, that they were a respected member of the Better Business Bureau. We want our $2500.00 back. No one thus far has been able to assist us.

So one last word; For those of you seeking financial assistance, don't get caught up in a company such as Elimidebt Management Systems or any other.
