EMC Mortgage Payment went up 600 in one year Ripoff Irving Texas

Our mortgage was sold to emc. we were late with a payment and then it all started. we never could catch up because they kept raising the payment with fees. we finally did a loan modification and now our payment is 600 more than it was last year at this time. and our payoff figure is thousands more than the original loan amount. we would've been better off renting all these years. i felt like it was our own fault for being late, but the truth is that this company is out to take our house from us. and now we make every payment on time, but we still show 120 days late on our credit report. we've sold our house (in contract right now). but we'll never get another mortgage because of our credit rating. how do you even tell a new mortage company that emc made our payment so high we couldn't possibly pay it on time--our payment right now is a full %60 of our take home pay!!! that is not what we signed up for. This must be what they call PREDATORY LENDING.
