We had a machine from this company for our small business but decided it wasn't really worth it so we called and cancelled about 2 months prior. Well they keep taking money out of our account saying we signed a 7 year contract and that they were authorized to do so. Well we didn't sign a 7 year contract with these people. So we called them and told them we wanted our money back because we weren't using their services. They of course said that was impossible because of the contract. Then we asked them for their address so that our lawyer could send them a certified letter and they refused to give that information to us. We also asked them to fax a copy of this so-called contract, but we have yet to see that. SO BUYER BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE WILL RIP YOU OFF AT ANY CHANCE. Hopefully our bank can get the money back...if not we will see them fry in court.

EPS are outright thieves

I signed up with EPS for credit card processing services. The local person that signed me up heard me say over and over and over again that I would have nothing to do with it if there was an annual fee. The contract I signed signed said I would pay $10 a month and a small per transaction fee.
I was then informed that it was too late this year to cancel (s they had already ripped me off for their $80 annual fee that I never agreed to) and if I sent them a cancellation notice today that they would put it on file until this time next year (so they can rip me off for $10 a month and whatever else they desire it seems), or I can buy them off for some $600 dollars.
What country is this, again?
These people (EPS) are outright thieves and filing a report here is only the first step I intend to take.

EPS is a "SOLID COMPANY"... A SOLID RIP OFF!

I too had problems with EPS. I had not even been in business for 9 months when getting ripped off by them. Not only did one of their representatives mis-lead and misinform me but also forged my initials and changed the fees/terms of the contract after leaving my business. When signing the contracts I asked the rep, Justin Bedillion, for copies of everything and he said, "Oh, of course. You will receive copies of everything in your 'Welcome Packet' in a week or so". When receiving my so-called "Welcome Packet" I noticed extra pages to the contract that had my initials on them but I had never seen. I called EPS IMMEDIATELY only for them to treat me like a child (similar to Ryan, the employee from EPS in the last rebuttal, with his sarcasm about knowing how to read). They did not want to listen or hear what I had to say. I come from a town of less than 3000 people and 7, yes, SEVEN other small businesses from this town got the SAME scam from the SAME guy all in a months time... and EPS's response was "We are not calling you liars but we really don't see him doing that. He has been with our company for a long time and is one of our top representatives."
I had a police officer present (when I tracked Justin down at another local business and directed him back to my business) who witnessed him signing a note stating that he was going to cancel our contracts (mine and one other business owner present at the time). He also called, and we had him on speaker phone as he spoke with Stephanie (another EPS employee) who promised to terminate the contract. We faxed the notes along with our signed requests right then... Police officer and representative present. 2 days later...MORE fees taken out of our accounts. Called EPS, AGAIN, and spoke to Anna. Tried explaining to her what was going on and told her to pull my contract and look at the signatures and that she would be able to CLEARLY see that the signatures/initials signed were not the same... She put me on hold AND NEVER CAME BACK!!! A short period later I received a letter from an outside collection agency. THEY TURNED ME IN!! I had not even been a customer with EPS for a month!!
I could understand them being skeptical of my story if it was JUST me, but there were 5 (at that time) other businesses with the SAME EXACT stories!!
Never did get any of my money back... Sad that such people can sleep at night KNOWING what they are doing to other people, their businesses and their families.

EPS IS A SOLID COMPANY

First off, if you cancelled 2 months before, no this does not work. EPS has a 90 day requirement of cancellation notice by fax with a signature that matches the principal acct holders signature. You must cancel 90 days prior to your ANNUAL date or EPS' contract resets automatically for another year. You people all need to read your contracts before you just sign on the dotted line. EPS has no such 7 year contract!!! Just because someone does not use a service does not mean they did not initially agree to sign up and agree to the contract terms. If anyone is still in contract the access and the ability to use these services are indeed still there for them to use. EPS continues to answer their phones on a daily basis! Anyone CAN CANCEL if they do it the correct way! EPS does not refuse to give anyone an address, I am not sure where this info is coming from. If a merchant threatens legal action EPS tells them they may have their attorney contact EPS by fax or mail. As per faxing a copy of the contract we must speak with an account owner who verifies his/her identity via the last 4 digits of their SSN # if they cannot bye, bye call back with the owner on the line if you want a copy of a legally binding document which only an owner should have in their hands in the first place! EPS WILL NOT RIP YOU OFF IF YOU CAN READ A CONTRACT OR HAVE A LAWYER INTERPRET IT FOR YOU CORRECTLY!!!!
