I purchased a used automatic transmission for my 2002 Honda Accord, with the understanding that EverDrive LLC offers a 3 year warranty. This was a internet purchased, so I didnt get a chance to deal with live ppl until I filed a complaint. I ordered the transmission on October 10, 2009, and was promised that I would be delivered to me within 3-5 days. However, it arrived on October 18, 2009. On September 6, I had the transmission installed professionally by an auto repair shop and certified mechanic  like the instructions suggested to do in order to validate my warranty. Once the transmission was installed, I test drove the car and it wouldnt shift gears, so I immediatly phone EverDrive to notify them of that I was sent a defective product, and I wanted to use my warranty to get a replacement. No one never called me back, so I phoned them a couple days later to see what actions was taking place. I was transferred to Toni Whittaker(warranty coordinator), and she stated that she sent me an email saying that they counldnt honor my warranty because we didnt flush the transmission properly? WTF? when she emailed me the instructions on how to properly flush a transmission, It stated for Remanufactured or Overhauled transmission. Which I purchased a Used one. When I pointed out this very clear mistake on her behalf, she found another reason. She then stated that we used the wrong transmission fluid? Really?! I then faxed over copies of my owners manual which stated that it is Ok to use DEXRONIII as alternative fluid if dealership fluid isnt available. She still refused to acknowledge the fact that she was wrong in both senarios, but still denied my warranty claim. After weeks and months of leaving voice mails and emails, it because a financial burden because I now have to rent cars in order to commute back and forth to work. I had my repair shop place my car on a diagnosis machine to read what the problem was, and the problem is an electrical problem. I then took it to AutoZone to have them diagnosis as well, same problem. I dont want to disclose what it is because this is still an on-going issue, and I now have to take them to court to recover excessive money Ive spent because of their faulty and unreliable parts. But I just amaze me how a company can accuse and put the consumer at fault when they know that they sent me a bad transmission. Instead of honoring a simple warranty claim, and sending me a repalcement. I spent $1,400 with them during a recession, and this is how im treated. The devil is a lyer!

For Electrical Problems

AUTHOR: Jeff - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 27, 2010

I've dealt with a lot of used parts over the years and specifically a lot of transmissions.

The transmission industry is corrupt - a large percentage of transmission replacements that are done ARE NOT NEEDED! The reason is that electronic controls can go bad, leaving the transmission non functioning, but the transmission can be ok - just not controlled.

You said the problem is "an electrical problem." That's not a problem with the transmission.

The problem is that Everdrive should walk you through this. If they've dealt with this a lot, if they're experienced, that should be a red flag to them right away.

With that said, if what I think is going on is actually going on, it doesn't matter how many transmissions you put in, you will still have the same problem.

You need to fix your electical problem friend. I would find a good experienced Honda shop in your area that does a lot of transmission work, and have them take a look. Tell them everything you've said here, and see what happens.

Take Action!

Hey buddy, it sounds like this company is basically finding used parts from junkyards and pressure washing them ,and then in turn resale them to consumers in need. Its a big scam for the owner of the company to "Get Rich Quick." If I were u, I would sue them for damages that they have caused you. And Im quite sure asking for rides, renting cars, a calling off from work is a BIG inconvience in your life. Take Action!
