WildBlue/Exede were stated by Direct TV to be the only ISP that would interface with Direct TV in our area. This turns out to be a simple lie... The large ugly dish was placed in our yard and immediately we realized that there were problems as internet service dropped randomly and any video had to buffer for minutes at a time. Then our standard data capacity was exceeded in a few days and extra capacity was at twice the cost rate of Verizon Wireless 4G. The customer service was pathetic and tech support could not ameliorate our service by any adjustments even when a tech came out to 'adjust' the dish. In short this service is simply a ripoff. But when you try to cancel you find that here is a 2 year contract which was not mentioned before the installation. Stay well away from this company unless you enjoy Nigerian currency scams, this is just a US one.

I'd like to hear more about what happened and what steps were taken to resolve your issue and see what assistance I can offer.  I am sorry to hear that DirecTV misinformed you about what services were available in your area, and did not discuss the 24 month service agreement that must be signed at the time of installation.  Also I had a question about the extra charges you were referring to.  We never charge for overages, but we do reduce speeds if you have gone over your data allowance.  Please email me at exedelistens@viasat.com with your name, telephone number, and the best time to call.  Thanks.
