FinAuction is an auction based lead system for financial advisors, they have no phone number to contact or a physical address where you can find them. They are a scam in two distinct ways, first they offer an auction which they say will expire in a few hours, then they extend the auction for a day or two which is no good if you are looking for a fresh lead, secondly they offer a junk lead which has a working phone number, you have no idea if the number is the correct number, it is just a working number, big deal there are millions of working numbers. In addition the lead could be completly made up, you will never know, they will not stand behind their product as long as there is a working number, you also have no idea where the lead came from, what they are interested in, if it is recent or could be from years ago. I would reccomend staying clear of them.

Lead Auction Format

AUTHOR: FinAuction - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 17, 2017

Here is our response to this agents's comments:

1.  We are very clear how our Auction works. A lead comes into our system that we do not sell into our Elite Program (reasons include: no agent in the territory, lead is too old or too young, assets are too low, we were not able to reach the lead by phone). The lead goes into the Auction system where it stays for 4 business hours (business hours are 9:00pm to 6:00pm). For example, if a lead enters the auction at 5:00pm PST, it will stay in the Auction until 12:00pm the following day (5:00pm to 6:00pm = 1 hour, and then 9:00am to 12:00pm = 3 hours).

2. If an agent sees a particular lead they want, they can use the "buy-it-now" feature and preemptively end the auction on the spot for that lead.

3. We refund any lead that has a disconnected phone number, or when the person who answers does not match the lead's details. We use sophisticated phone look-up tools to verify the "working number", but this system does have its limitations - this is part of the reason leads are a "numbers game". When you buy auction leads there will be a % of leads that you will never successfully reach by phone (this is where email drip systems come in handy). The idea is that you get enough low-priced auction leads so that you find enough diamonds-in-the-rough so that the program is profitable for you.

4. All our clients have both phone and email access to both a Customer Support person and an Inside Sales person to handle any issue. Not sure why this complaint says we don't provide a phone number...

5. Our leads are not "made up". Our reputation in the industry is solid - the ROI for our leads has been highly positive for the bulk of agents who use our leads. There are certainly leads that go nowhere, as well as the occassional truly bad lead (that we refund). We believe (as to most of our clients) that you must view buying leads a "marketing program", and be willing to committ both the $ and energy to work as large a number of leads as possible - if you buy one or two leads and "hope" to close something before you buy more, chances are you will fail...

I had the unfornate expeince of trying Finauction and discovered they are a total scam and had cancelled my account 3 months ago and now I have found out the made an unautherized charge on my credit card. Do not under any cerumstances give any information to these crooks they will just screw you over and their leads are fake all they have is a woring phone number to who knows who, diffenantly not someone interested in any kind of financial product. They belong in JAIL!
