First Approval Benefits Credit Card Scam tried to rip me off Fort Lee, New Jersey

I recieved a phone call a couple of days ago from a guy who said his name was Jason Joseph. He told me I was approved for a new Mastercard, and another gold card.. He said there would be a one time fee of $299 that would be taken out on the 10th of October. He said they would play a recording in which I would authorize them to take the funds from my account. I waited for over 10 minutes on hold, though, and hung up. These guys have been calling my house ever since, but I haven't been availible. I'm sure it's because they want me to do their recording so they can take the money out. I know I haven't authorized it, but i'm not taking any chances. Thanks to all of you who reported on this site, I will go and have my account emptied on monday before the payment can be taken.

When I asked what the interest rate was going to be he said "We're still trying to get you a rate that's under 10%" I asked him how that was possible, since I had never held a credit card before, but he assured me that they would be able to get me a rate under 10%. What a bunch of crap.

When I called back the number he gave me all I can get is a recording. If they ever do get ahold of me i'm going to tell them to screw off and quit taking hard earned money from people who can't afford it.
