The account with First Data was opened by the Power Source Inc. After a couple of month using of equipment the company realized that they received from the First Data a wrong type of a credit card machine. For retail business the PowerSource was involved the credit card machine with the "PIN" number selection is required. But stated machine did not have this option.
Power Source contacted the First Data for many times, requesting a new appropriate machine, but nobody took the step to solve the problem. Every time we had a different contact name and the number to contact, but still had no results.
Because the company were loosing 85% of the sales (wrong equipment) they sent the machine back to the leasing company (UPS delivery receipt can be proveded)
Together with the machine we enclosed the explanation letter and requested for representative from the leasing company to call us with their solution. But unfortunately even after these actions the First Data refused to contact and help the company.
Power Source stopped making payments, and bacause I was a co-signer now I reported to all collection agencies as a bad client. I having a huge problem to receive any credit cards or loans.

This only facilitates the use of check cards through the debit networks. Without a pin pad, these cards can still be accepted through Visa or MasterCard, as you had been doing previously. Somebody else most likely told you that you needed the other equipment in hopes to sell you a new terminal. Unfortunately, you seem somewhat uninformed and this resulted in a series of problems for you.
You should have consulted with a family member, friend, nearby business owner/manager, attorney, or the internet before refusing to pay an obligation you had. You should have kept your old machine, or purchased a pin-enabled terminal/pinpad combo. You would still be obligated to pay your lease regardless of which option you chose. There is no reason that the leasing company should not continue to charge you what you owe them.
