First Progress Outrageous fees to pay overcharged bills Columbus Georgia

I received a notification in the mail that I was pre-approved for a credit card from First Progress, so I contacted them about this from their website. They were available then of course, but that was a one-off it seems. I was directed to the website to applyt for a credit allowance. The card offered is called a secured card, which basically means that you pay a deposit in the amount of the credit alotted, as well as numerous other fees, inclduing a fee to apply, and then ANOTHER $29 fee once they have your deposit, which leaves you with a credit limit of whatever you gave them minus $29....

Alright, so after I pay all of this including the deposit, which hurt by the way, I get my card in the mail, and a couple of weeks later I get a bill for the $29 again, even though they already deducted it from my deposit. So, I call to make the payment, payments to these people never seem to end, and am informed that in order to pay over the phone there is a $10 courtesy fee.

Jesus Lord in heaven, do these poeple EVER stop nickling and diming you for this card??

The interest rate is MONSTROUS at 14%, and you only have as much credit as you paid them for, so I am having a problem understanding why this is better than just keeping your money. In any case. if you ever get an offer of pre-approved credit from these criminals, just crumple it up and throw it away because they are ruthless!!
