Well first I want to thank everyone who filed a report on these scam artists.

I was in the process of selling my Evequest2 account. I was really faced with a deadline and needed money.

Needless to say, I submitted my account along with log in information, including the exact question/answer used to ultimately access my account, and even make changes to billing info and email contact information.
I was not comfortable with ANYONE having that information for obvious reasons, however I was desperate and hoping that this would not end up coming back to haunt me.
Then I started getting suspicious when they took forever to contact me regarding the status of my account. When I finally did hear from the company, it was an auto-generated email response.

My account sat in their "processing que" for exactly 7 days..coincidentally the exact amount of time they say happens in only "extreme cases" and due usually to excess stock of that particular character type resulting in a delay or even possible refusal of acceptance for the account to be purchased.

Well on the 4th day after their 1st email response to me regarding the acceptance of my account to be sold, I started to get concerned. No matter how many emails I sent, I would always get back the same reply..and that reply had a disclaimer that it only pertained to customers who were attempting to PURCHASE an account, not sell as I was doing.

So they sent me a reply to a question about SELLING an account, that said it did not pertain to anyone except people who were BUYING an account. What the heck is up with that?!

Anyway, by day 6 I am starting to think its a scam, and I am at risk of losing my account...so I go so far as to make a Facebook account in the hopes I can reach someone from Gamewar that way.

When I logged onto their FB page there was nothing but an entire community of people who were having issues with their attempts to either contact the company and or sell/buy accounts that had already been paid for or turned over whichever the case may be. Even the posts I tried to put up would not show up..same with my attempts to leave "customer feedback" on their web page voicing my concerns.

All in all I was growing more and more fearful I just gave access to a bunch of scammers who were about to rip me off. Thankfully up till then my account had not been touched. On day 7 I post several harsh comments to them in email, on their website, and on their FB page...none of which elicited any
type of response.

Next I went and changed my email address listed on my account as well as called SoE and had my Security Question Changed.

You wont believe what happened next:

Withing MINUTES of me doing that I received three emails (THREE!!!) saying my account was ready to be purchased, asking for confirmation of my private information such as age/address, as well as the information for my bank to send the payment. It all looked and felt completely wrong, but not that surprising either based on my earlier suspicions.

All in all I deleted their emails, and I am NOT going to send them a separate email (as per was their request) in the event I wanted to cancel my account submission with them.

I figure its THEIR turn to wait on an email from me...and let me tell you one thing - the have a VERY long wait ahead of them indeed!

I wised up in time and didnt get scammed..but believe me when I tell you: DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

I was complaining about how slow they were but the problem ended up being because I provided them the wrong secret word.  I got paid. Please ignore what I originally said.

Contradicting Report?

So did you actually get ripped off or just complaining about them not processing your submission? The title say they ripped you off but then at the end you say they didn't. Looks like you're contradicted yourself.
