 Be very careful when signing up for lease purchase. The recruitment team is far from honest when it comes to the operation of the company. What they sell you is far from reality. The first three months are great as this is the honeymoon period. When that is over it's all down hill from there. They will demand you give them 50 miles of every loaf with no pay and no explanation as to why you have to give that up. In reality that 50 turns to 80 on the button with every single load. 80/miles , no more and no less. When I asked about this the explanation was we don't pay hub miles. Ok. Then why is it 80/miles difference to the T on every load? They had nothing. The trucks are sub-par at best with many maintenance issues that they are aware of but fail to disclose. The fleet is purchased at very discounted prices that they fail to pass on. The lease pay off rate is very low for such a small company. They have a board that when you payboff the truck you can hang your $1.00 bill on to signify completion.... There is less than ten. That should tell you alot right there. They take $1500.00 for what they call a performance bond..... When I asked about this the explanation was if you abandoned the truck this covers the cost of the recovery. Well I turned it in and still lost my bond money along with the two separate bonuses I qualified for the month prior. $2,200.00 gone .... I am also getting repair bills for other trucks then mine. In a nut she'll be very very cautious of GDS express...
