gigats Fake Pre-Screening Interview for Non-Existent Positions - Phishing Front for For-Profit Education - Wasted my time and was rude to boot!  Internet

I was on Career Builder looking for work.  I saw a position for a payroll clerk position.  An inquiry screen from Gigats came up and asked for basic contact information and to submit my resume, which I did, after which a screen came up to call for a pre-screening interview to verify work history.  I called and was connected to "Jacob" (jacob.h@gigats.com) who proceeded to take details about my qualifications, job preferences, reasons for leaving my last position, etc.  He kept repeating my first name, and I stopped him.  I asked him to please not repeat my name every sentence and to make a connection with me personally.  He spoke over my words frequently and quickly got to what appeared to be the heart of his mission:  suggesting that I go to school within the next one to two months, that as part of their service to employers, they have education consultants who would provide information on financial assistance, the types of education I should pursue, etc.  When I realized this was apparently his purpose, I asked him specifically what the status was regarding the position for which I had called him initially.  He was rude to me, and I then said, "We're done.  Goodbye."
