GreenPoint Mortgage RIPOFF, DISHONEST, FRAUDULENT BILLING, OVERCHARGING, BAD BUSINESS Irwindale California

I had this company for a year and they were charging me 12.50 % and I wanted to pay them off. I called but they tell me they don't know what the pay off would be, they would have to call the payoff department and they would have to mail me a letter on the payoff. So I mailed them what the bill showed. They have 2 areas on the bill one says New Balance and This is not a payoff figure and below says Finance charges and then it shows Prinipal balance. Two different ammounts so I used the The Principal Balance. I mailed the payment.

They wrote me a letter and said they will have to wait for 10 days to make sure my check had funds. The bill came the next month they had charged me more interest. So I paid the remaining amounts that I thought I owed on bill with interest.

The next month came and I owed more money, I called them up and they again told me that they have to contact the payoff department and they would mail me the letter. So can you fax the payoff letter to me? They said yes for $10.00. Can I do a Pay over phone? They said no cause they don't know what the pay off is. So I said I have to wait and you charge me more interest ($110.00) more, they said yes until the loan is paid in full. When will I get the letter in about 10-14 working days he said, and when you pay us off you have to have a money order or a cashiers check. It can't be your check or it won't be paid off.

This is a rip off cause my check has always been good and all they are doing is stealing money from me every month. They are charging more than my credit limit was. I do not think I owe them anymore money. But they say I do.
