I work for Green Valley Security for two years now. I have several complaints. First I was sick one night my wife called them three hours before my shift to tell them I will not be coming in and she was threaten that I would be marked as no call no show and terminated. Second is I was threaten by a employee that worked for the hotel that I am securing. I have told my director about it and I was ignored. So for the month I had to stay there I was nervous about myself and my car till they got rid of him. Third is having us do hotel employee work when we should be watching the guests cars and trucks from being stolen or broken into. That such work is bringing towels and personal things up to a guest room witch in this time someone can be in a guest car taking it or robbing it for what is inside. The other thing is passing out the zip outs the guests bill and sliding each one of them under there door this takes up to a hour sometimes and I had cars stolen and broken in at this time and never fails I get yelled at for it,witch it is not my fault. My employer Green Valley Sec will not do anything about this when I call them they don't care about there employees. Forth thing I have been put into threatening situations because of another thing they want me to do that is asking if someone is a guest or not witch always ends up in almost getting attacked by the person and once again my employer doesn't care. Fifth is they will not fire employees that do not respect the time they are supposed to be in meaning my relief is always a half hour late without making the call to the office to let me know he is going to be late witch in this case is a no call and a couple times no show and he has NEVER been in trouble for it or fired for it in my thoughts there is some favoritism going on because I would of be fired a long time ago. Sixth NOT getting paid for overtime sometimes. Seventh making you work holidays or you get fired and only time and half. Eighth witch just happen and is the reason I am sending this is on 12/30/08 I have made a call around five o clock telling the office I will not be in at 12:30 am Thursday and my Director Terry threaten me telling me that it will be a NO CALL NO SHOW and termination. Now my problem is I have family in town witch I have not seen in eleven years and they want to go out for the New Years but now I can't because I and handcuffed to the idiots called Green Valley Sec. I have told them what I was doing and they are just scrooges and don't care. I had the chance to see my cousins before and I turned them down because I had to work and missed out seeing them now I ask for the first time in over two years for one day off to see my cousins and get threaten a NO CALL NO SHOW and TERMINATION. Please I know I am not the only one at this company they treat like crap. So do not pay Green Valley Sec to do your property they will rip you off and only pay nothing to there gaurds and treat them bad!

The last I heard, an employer can not fire an employer while they are ill --if they produce a legitimate doctor's excuse that can be verified! This is SUPPOSED to be against FEDERAL LABOR LAW!
They can NOT refuse to pay you OVERTIME -- IF you worked it and I hope you are keeping very careful track of the hours that you work.
We usually got paid double time when we worked holidays in Texas. I don't know how you all do it in Las Vegas but if I were you, I would be making some calls to the State employment commission to find out what people in your state are supposed to be paid IF you are forced to work on holidays.
I have also heard that it may be a violation of law to make employees work overtime or more than 40 hours but since the only way you can make a living here IS to work ALL THE OVERTIME YOU CAN GET, I must admit I was never interested in checking this rule out very much.
These people like to hire the IGNORANT, the UNEDUCATED, the FUNCTIONALLY ILLITERATE,PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW THEIR RIGHTS OR LABOR LAW so they can EXPLOIT YOU!
You better call the Social Security Administration and make sure they are paying in to your Social Security Administration account and that all of th deductions that they claim to be taking out of your check are actually going to where they are supposed to be going.
THIS IS JUST BUSINESS AS USUSAL WITH PRIVATE SECURITY GUARD CONTRACTING COMPANIES.
I worked security at a hotel once and they had me doing the same thing that you say that you are doing. The vehicles were being broken into by former and present security company employees with the assistance of some hotel employees becauie they were tired of being cheated out of their pay and treated like (expletive deleted). the cops got them with a surveillance after the police chief's brother's car was broken into while he was visiting.
These companies never learn that if employees are treated well and they fell like they are a part of the business, they will be less likely to steal and commit other crimes...AND THEN THERE IS MADOFF.
