This is to support the report filed by Sgp141011 of Spartanburg, South Carolina. I too was victim of h1base.com. Like most of their subscribers, I was lured into signing up for their service because of the very good marketing banner in their website. Much to my dismay, from the date I subscribed to their "alleged" service - I say alleged because there was no service at all to start with, to this day I have yet to receive an email or call coming from the list of corporations they listed in their site.
Moreover, I availed of "featured service called RESUME BLASTER" that puportedly sends my resume and profile to the top 500 companies sponsoring h1b visas. Again, to this day I have yet to receive an email or a call. I did a little investigation myself and decided to check the accuracy of their database of the top 500 h1b visa-sponsoring companies in the US. This however resulted in aother disappointment becasue when I sent my resume and profile to these companies, roughly about 40-60% of the email addresses indicated in that database were either incorrect or contained wrong info. I wrote to them twice asking for an explanation however there was no reply. It was only when I emailed them asking for a refund did they reply. Below is the email trail between their customer support department and myself (note: read from the bottom).
-----------------------------------------
Hi H1base Support Dept., Thank you for your reply. However this does not solve my problem. In my previous letters to you, I was asking for receipt confirmation of my profile and resume as a result to my availment of the resume blaster feature you provided. Despite my follow up letter, much to my dismay no one from your group bothered to reply or even confirm receipt of my previous complain. Below is the list you have given me to the 500 or so companies you sent my profile and resume. http://www.h1base.com/viewblasterreport.asp?id=26 Protegrity USA, Inc.
Despite your disregard of my previous complain, I decided to check on the database of the top 500 list of employers found in your website and send my resume and profile manually. It was only after this that I found out that your database was either not updated or contained incorrect data altogether. Again, I'll make this simple. I want my money back. I was not satisfied nor benifited from your service. Please send it to the address I indicated in my previous email. Thank you. ---

Hi With regard to your email, please see below: 1) Please supply us with all the names of the companies in the database that you claim are incorrect, and we will have them forwarded to our Resource Dept who will verify your claim and update our databases accordingly. 2) The 'Top 500 database' is one of 'many' services included in your account. Services are provided "as-is" and "as-available" as per our terms and conditions - we do not guarantee accuracy of databases, especially in such a dramatically changed and fast moving economy (that H1Base did not create or can control) - although we do "make reasonable efforts" to update all our databases and will continue to do so. Greetings! Please be informed that to this date, there was no positive result that I was able to get from availing of your services. I checked personally the top 500 employers listed in your database and found out that fromt the list, a good 40-60% of them either had incorrect contact information or no longer exists... I would like to request for a refund of all related fees that I was able pay your company.I will be expecting this anytime soon. Please sign the check to my name and send it to this address:

Thank you for you reply... Yes, I already did as what you insturcted. What I'm asking for is a confirmation as to whether the companies where my resume was sent were indeed able to receive my application. If so, how come I haven't gotten a single notice of reply, rejection, or word whatsoever coming from these companies. I hope that this time you can give me a concrete answer, I expect nothing less. Thank you.

Update from H1base in response to my report on this website...
AUTHOR: Monzy - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, April 07, 2009
Hi Everyone,
This is just an update to the previous report I posterd earlier. Apparently, I got an email from H1base finally taking notice of my complaint on this website. What's funny is that they haven't even bothered to answer my prvious queries more so reply to my complaints. What they only answered was in connection to their company's name being defamated in a public website. Wow, amazing how companies such as this never bother to actually provide the service their customers purschased from them.
Also, they blocked my account leaving me no access to their database anymore. They wanted me to provide them the details of the innaccuracy of their database but yet they blocked my access to their database. How in the world do they expect me to extract those data? For all I know, they might have already started updating their database.
Word of advice for everyone, do not be a victim like us.
Cheers!
Monzy

Dear H1 Base, First and foremost.
Thank you for finally taking notice of my complain. I do not have to go further and send you all the failure delivery notice of the emails i sent to the top 500 corporations listed in your database. All you have to do is to try and actually send out to each of the email addresses per company as listed there and see if indeed the data is accurate. Much of my mail inbox has been cleared already. The remaining one's I shall send out to you.
Also, there were companies you listed in your database to which I sent my resume to w/c did not recognize your company as a valid or listed company in their database.
FYI, my account has been blocked by your company. May I ask who authorized this as I did not request for this to be blocked? Don't you think that's another violation of my rights as a customer?
Threatening me with emails such as this, will not help in any case. I want my money back. Period.
Thank you.

Dear ,
We have still not received the requested information and documentation to 'verify and substantiate' the serious allegations that you have made against H1 Base.
As you have now made the decision to intentionally 'publish' your allegations on a 3rd party public website, we now require you to provide documented evidence to prove that your allegations that 40-60% of our database was incorrect or did not exist. We will then carefully evaluate your claim and the evidence you provide to determine if your allegations were correct, or, if by publicly publishing 'false' and potentially damaging allegations, determine whether you have committed a serious illegal act of libel and defamation of character against a US Corporation (H1 Base, Incorporated). Based on your actions, you are now required to provide proof of the serious allegations you made against H1 Base as follows:1) provide substantiated evidence that proves our database of employers is 40-60% incorrect or no longer exist, as per your allegation.
Sincerely, Finance Department
