Hello, I registred on this H1base website in January, 2012 with premier membership and paid $294. I never got a single email from any employer. They ask you to click on send every month to make sure employers will get your resume every month and then they send a list of employers on your email address to whom they forwarded your resume. I have a recent MBA degree from USA and a decent experience, still no employer ever contacted. I wonder how would it help any one having foreign degree.

They said I have a very good chance of finding h1b or green card employer because i have a master degree but trust me, no one ever contacted. Now nobody answers the phone at Customer Care. I am so much frustrated and wanna go legal against them to get my money back. I managed to find a job on my own through other sources and am a bit busy to go to small claims court on the week days. If someone else is having the same issue, we can manage to file a good case against this website.

Rebuttal to H1-Base

AUTHOR: Kapil Gupta - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 10, 2012

This site does not permit posting private information, however if you can somehow contact me I can provide my name and account information.

I was lucky enough to find a job on my own, otherwise I would be in quite the predicament if I depended solely on the help of H1-base.

For clarification, my goal was not to blatantly post negative feedback or lessen the reputation of any business, but rather to get what was paid for, and if necessary warn others in my situation to avoid any misleading paths or false promises. I do not intend to dispute your company reputation, instead I am simply seeking a way to get my money back since I had not seen even a fraction of what was promised, even after paying for "premier membership".

With premier membership I was promised unlimited support and services such as resume review and reformatting, and to work with an adviser who will help me achieve the fastest and best results, however, I received none of these. My resume was exactly the same as before, the font was changed slightly but every word and all arrangement remained the same ( I can prove this with dated emails), and after calling several times and never reaching anyone ( I never left any message because I prefer to speak to a person directly) I am left wondering where is the "unlimited support"?

Based on the response I received, I can sense more emphasis is placed on protecting the reputation and defending any accusations or negative feedback. A good company has great services that speak for themselves, representatives need not write 4 paragraphs of empty claims of excellency. Obviously when reading through the H1-Base site directly for feedback, the 5 negative feedback comments since 1998 claim could be falsified. A company will obviously monitor feedback posted on the website directly. For more accurate feedback, any wise person would check through internet searches where it is then up to the individual to accept it as false accusation or legitimate claims. In my personal experience, I find many of these claims to be true. Although as I mentioned before, my goal is not to ruin the reputation of any company. I only seek fair business and fair treatment, or my money back. I do not hold any resentment for any company or representative whatsoever.

COMPANY RESPONSE

AUTHOR: Company Response - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, July 06, 2012

Hi, first we would like to apologize to this potential customer if we did not meet their expectations within their timeframes. There is limited details presented here for us to accurately cross reference against our customer database records, so please contact us so we have the chance to evaluate your allegations and claims, review and verify your account, service, and communication records, and work with you to resolve your issue fairly and amicably.

We would also like to take this opportunity to analyze and clarify a few facts.

This review site we are on started in 1998 and has been available for comments to be posted on for the entire time since H1 Base was formed almost 12 years ago (this October).

On this website, during the entire time our Company has been operating and providing services there is only:

- a total of 5 negative comments posted about our Company.

During that timeframe we have provided services and resources to many many thousands of customers from all over the World (each and every year), and to many B2B clients including: University and College career centers, employers and businesses, and immigration law firms and lawyers.

Unfortunately, every business gets a complaint and an unhappy customer at some time. Although we strive for perfection and to continually learn and improve, we hope you can see that we have a great track record considering the many variable factors, situations, expectations, and high level of challenges that we have to work with in our competitive industry.

We work with a wonderfully diverse client base reaching every corner of the World, all with different skills and situations. We do provide and perform our services to help our clients, although naturally it is employers that decide who they want to contact and employ based on who they select as the 'best fit' candidates they have to choose from for their positions (and for their business requirements). For a customer not to be contacted by any employers is very unusual and we would have to evaluate the whole situation to determine if/why that happened, and then work with the customer to look at alternative strategies and options to get the best results for their situation.

Relating to comments generally posted on the internet about our Company, if you remove opinions, speculation, and false accusations - there is hardly any 'real' complaints from 'real' customers who have used our services, especially considering the significant timeframe our Company has been operating, and, the high volume of customers we have helped over the years.

If any customer has a legitimate concern or complaint, please contact us directly and we will work with you to evaluate and resolve the issue fairly, honestly, and amicably. There are many methods for customers to contact us, during office hours: by telephone to our main support team (if they are busy at the time you call please leave a message and they will call back), by email to our support team, or if applicable based on the service level contact a personal advisor directly by telephone and/or email.

Thank you and we look forward to working with you,
H1 Base
