Fred Omidvar works like a con artist. He attracts you in with e-mail advertisements and promises of getting you a job. He says he will help you with your resume, only you must do all the work. He asked me for strategic words that employeeing companies resume scanners pick up on. He then used those in his presentation but failed to instruct people how to put the wording together. He then repeats the skit in each of his presentations.
When he promises to send your resume out to companies, he will, it will probably be received with several hundreds of resumes as spam by the potential employer.
He promises to open communication: its a phone call, and he leaves a voice mail. Nothing more then you could do.
The name Hiringmax, well, he may be placing jobs that you can get at HomeDepot, but not the real jobs where your probably looking for a real recruiter who has an ongoing working relationship with others.
His own employees post to this web site.
Don't use your credit card to purchase his services, you will want to cancel quickly. If he is that good, he should be able to put it in writing, money back guarntee.
Be cautious with this service, there are others out there: ladder builders, culver, apple one, they all do what he does and they don't charge you!!!!!
He's number one on my list for the con artist for 2007-8.
Recommendation of his services: 0 as in zero. Your better off with Culver or Apple One or Manpower - those are the jobs he places. If he tells you otherwise, ask for the contact number of the employer to verify who and what he has done, ask for ten of them and verify. If you he does not release it, then you have your answer.

I did not get a full refund as indicated in his rebuttal.

I contacted Fred and he would not give me a refund.
He would not give me a refund and tried to con me into working with him. He would not accept the fact that he failed. He would not refund me my monies.
I filed a complaint with my credit card company and the response from the company was that Fred, Hiringmax refused to refund me the monies. In fact, Fred provided email correspondence that he worked with me to prove that I was not entitled to a refund. I have a written letter from the credit card company that Fred, Hiringmax refused to provide me a refund.
As far as I am concerned, his integrity of what he wrote here and what took place speaks for its self. I can not recomment the use Hiringmax or Fred's services.

We just became aware of this complaint. We do not know who Mike is, however, if he would have contacted us with his concerns, we would have ensured his issues are resolved. It seems he took the liberty to post this complaint with Ripoff report as well as the BBB but not taking even a moment to contact us directly. Mike please contact us and we will resolve any issues you have with us peronally or with our service.
Here are reponses to your claim:
"Fred Omidvar works like a con artist. He attracts you in with e-mail advertisements and promises of getting you a job."
Our response: "We never promise anyone to find jobs. We are not a Staffing agency. We are a job posting company. It is all clearly outlined on our website at www.hiringmax.com/aboutus." We help bring attention to your resume and conduct job fairs.
Your Said: "He says he will help you with your resume, only you must do all the work. Nothing more then you could do."
Our Responses: We try to open communication. However, human resource managers are busy. They do not answer their phones everytime they are contacted. We get in contact with managers we have a relationship with frequently, but not everytime. This service is Free to you Mike and we never charged you for this. Our service charges job seekers to help them rewrite their resume. We do not rewrite it for you, as you know if you are actually a registered member. We register approximately 55 to 60 job seekers every month. And they are all aware of this. And happy with the results. Additionally, we always suggest you write your own resume because you know your background better than anyone else. Additionally, you have to defend the information during an interview. We provide the following:
1- A one hour course showing you how to properly keyword rewrite your resume.
2- A Template properly organizing the information (To help you gain notice)
3- Unlimited coaching sessions with a Senior Job Specialist.
You Said: "The name Hiringmax, well, he may be placing jobs that you can get at HomeDepot, but not the real jobs where your probably looking for a real recruiter who has an ongoing working relationship with others."
Our Response: "This is not accurate Mike. We have helped thousands of job seekers. Please contact us and we will gladly send you a sample list. Through us job seekers have found jobs with companies such as Coca Cola, Disney and ADT. But I am sure they have found jobs with Home Depot as well.
You Said: "Don't use your credit card to purchase his services, you will want to cancel quickly. If he is that good, he should be able to put it in writing, money back guarntee."
Our Response: "We guarantee you will get responses when you redo your resume from employers. We also back up our claim. If you are not happy, please contact us and we will refund your entire payment."
You Said: "Be cautious with this service, there are others out there: ladder builders, culver, apple one, they all do what he does and they don't charge you!!!!! He's number one on my list for the con artist for 2007-8. "
Our Response: " I hope to be on your: I was unhappy with your service, and you resolved it satisfactory LIST." I am not a conartis, as you claim Mike. Please call us and I will be happy to resolve any issues you had with us.
Thank you for your posting and I look forward to hearing from you.
P.S. I did not know you have posted a complaint with BBB. We never recieved a call from them. I will contact them first thing on Monday Morning. Take care of yourself and I hope you have now found employment.
Take care.

#100071686 at LABBB site is the number for HiringMax that I sent a complaint on to get low rating when people look him up
AUTHOR: Jon - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, August 17, 2008
I know it won't do us any good but if we flood complaints against HiringMax his C rating will go down hopefully to an F rating. My complaint is pending so there is no complaints against Hiringmax right now, so please help show others looking up what kind of company/guy is running here. The Attorney General of California office doesn't take complaints but says to send complaints to LABBB so other agencies will look at that when they check on unscrupulous companies. There is no buisness license or anything else that shows Fred was a motivational speaker for 11 years, HiringMax website was created in 8-25-2006 so if he was speaking for 11 years who was it for? and with all his misspelled/mispronounced words who in their right mind would even listen to this guy? Also 11 years and spoke to 25,000 people but only helped 4000 people get Jobs what kind of ratio is that? Where did the other 21,000 go?
I went to check out his job fair and the Torrance complaint was right more tables open than companies there and where was all the fortune 500 companies on his website at? Anybody can put up so called good comments on their own website anytime to make it look good for unsuspecting people he's trying to con into HiringMax. He stole my information from careerbuilder.com and claimed they gave it to him when I told them to take it off months earlier for recieving scam/fraud job offers. They did and the emails stopped but when Fred sent me an email saying he was still going to post my resume information months after careerbuilder.com took it off the emails started up again, even more than before. To this day Fred claims he took my information off but I am still recieving emails from scam/fraud type companies saying after reviewing your resume we have a job offer for you so Thanks Fred , Plus emails from all kinds of other stuff saying I subscribed to their website for information. I also sent his emails to careerbuilder.com complaint with Chicago BBB for receiving scam/fraud emails for Job offers that HiringMax Fred Omdvar said careerbuilder.com has sent my resume information to him when they claimed they didn't send out anybodies information to nobody. This guys out of control and needs to be stopped one way or another help me complain to LABBB as much as possible.
OH yea he also told me in an email that he reported Ripoff Report to FTC and they are suppossedly investigating website for exploiting legitimate companies like HiringMax with false claims and put a Victims of Ripoff in his email that had so many misspelled words/ Eds' name it was a joke I couldn't stop laughing. I never met Fred Omidvar and wouldn't want to but I could tell the claims against him were true just by the way he response in emails with misspelled words and calling me Tiger , when I told him I'm not your Tiger he back peddled and said it was in a good jesture so I told him it's not appropriate to address anybody by Tiger in any manner. If this guy is a motivational speaker he probably has mispronounced words in his speech, 11 years to 25,000 people and only 4000 got Jobs I just can't stop thinking about that ratio. Tell you one thing I wouldn't be bragging or posting that up.
