Homeland Financial Services deceptive advertising and customer service practices Ripoff Santa Ana California

I had a very bad experience with this company. In fairness to Homeland Financial, they did settle several accounts for me after I paid them quite a bit of money.

However, my citibank account went to court and I got a judgement against me. Homeland told me that they were still negotiating with the lawyer representing Citibank. This was a lie as Citibank doesnt deal with third parties, a fact I found out after they put a lien on my bank account.

Even when I got the threat of a lien, Homeland told me their "legal" dept. was on the case. Another lie, as they had been told long ago that Citibank wasn't even negotiating with them. Had I been told this by homeland, I could have avoided the judgement and lien.

My advice, stay away from this company, they don't return calls promptly, make false and misleading claims and cannot settle all accounts.
