A heat pump for a pool was purchased in 2013 and after 3 years and only 12 months of use it was shot. $4,176.21 is a lot of money for the short of time it was working. The life expectency is over 10 years for a heat pump.
A Hayward Technician came out to look at the HP and said this is a 2008 HP and it looks to me like it was used. I can no longer get parts for this HP He suggested we call HomeTown and let them know. All calls to Hometown went unaswered. The Hayward Tech was pretty upset and said we should sue.
Buyer beware, you may not get a new product and if you have any problems or complaints the company wants nothing to do with you. Repeated phone calls went unanswered.
