While applying for massage therapy school, my admissions counselor suggested I go to loanright.org in case I wanted to pay for school upfront.  I decided to use this website since she suggested it (without doing any research).  I was contacted by a representative (Diane Kessler) and had many phone conversations with her about being approved.  I called her at 888-379-7947 several times.

She sent me a Loan Agreement via fax and completed it and faxed it back to her at 860-331-8848.  I wasn't sure why, but I was considered high-risk and they needed $1100 in collateral up-front before they would disperse the $6000 loan.

I went to a nearby HEB Grocery store that day (Friday, Feb 19, 2010) and Western Unioned the money to Brian Harmon in Ontario, Canada.  He was supposed to be an investor who would provide the loan.

Monday, Feb 22, 2010 I received a call from an unknown number stating that they would need an additional $1100 to secure the loan or I could decide not to continue.  I said I wanted my $1100 back and asked how long it would take.  He told me it would be direct-deposited into my bank account on March 15, 2010.

I asked why they needed the additional money as the agreement I signed said NOTHING about the possibility of them needing additional collateral and he said I didn't read my loan agreement.  I HAVE READ IT SEVERAL TIMES AND IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT NEEDING MORE THAN THE INITIAL $1100.

I also asked why it would take 3 weeks to receive MY MONEY BACK and he said, "You're acting like you did us a favor.  You contacted us for the loan."  I guess I did them a huge favor!

Today is only March 6, 2010, but I have a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that I won't be receiving my money back because I can't get in touch with them.  They have no contact #s on their website, all numbers I have are disconnected.  I tried to find out who owns the websites, but they are private and need to be subpeonaed in order to release their information.  Therefore, I am contacting attorneys, the police, professors at universities that are familiar with internet scams and internet security.

If I receive my refund on March 15 as stated, I will update this report.
