Purchased Red Stripe Beer 12 pack after being alerted to a $10.00 rebate offer by an employee of the store. Filled out form and included materials as requested. Ultimately denied because I am "not of valid age to participate". I'm 57. Too old or too young? Smells like a classic bait and switch con.

This time it was my wife who was denied a rebate by Inmar, citing invalid age information. Del Rio Texas, home of the Great Mail-in Ripoffs. When I see Inmar on any rebates offered by any retailers, I explain why I will take my business elsewhere.

Dear Consumer,
We require your date of birth, because we are an adult alcohol beverage company. As the legal drinking age is 21 years old in the United States, we can only sell and interact with adult consumers over the age of 21. Requiring the DOB on the rebate form ensures that we operate within the law.
We find for most date of birth denials, the consumer has mistakenly wrote the date of purchase in the date of birth section. However whether it be the consumers error or Inmar’s error that is why we provide the postcards to the consumer so they can either call or email us to correct the issue.
I would like to research this invalid postcard you received but require more information from you. Please call our office at 1-877-322-8355 M-F 8:30 am to 4:30 pm eastern standard time. You may press option 1 and option 1 again to go directly to an agent. Once you have an agent on the phone please ask for myself and advise the agent this concerns complaint number 1155714 on Rip Off report. If I am not available please ask the agent to take a message with your name and phone number and I will return the call as quickly as I can.
