instaflex "complimentary sample" only 14 days & autocharge you to sign up for monthly at $75 per mo internet Maine

Getting old – aches and pains, joint pain.  Saw an ad for Instaflex on Facebook.  Looked interesting so clicked here for more information to see the demo and get “complimentary sample”.  Their terms informing you that you only have 14 days to “cancel” or you will automatically be sent monthly supply and charged $74.95 are in fine print BELOW the Bright Orange Click here button.  There is also a good sized white space between the button and the terms.  Who would scroll down looking for terms.  

The demo is good and nowhere does it sound like this is going to be an ongoing thing.  Oh, on the email receipt, the terms are mentioned under a FAQ.  Who reads receipts.  Also in the terms it is not a complimentary sample, it is a trial offer.  Very clever changes to wording and placement of fine print.  On day 14, I noticed the debit to my checking account.  As I do all my business online, I check my account daily.  I can imagine some people waiting for their statement would end up into the contract and taking several months to get this cleared up.  

So I called the next day, they were very nice and knew exactly how to handle this (must come up pretty often).  I received a nice email confirming my account is cancelled.   I am now up early on Saturday morning to get to the Post Office to return my “order” with a tracking receipt because they will not refund my $$ until they receive it back.  I cannot simply mark it RETURN TO SENDER because they have no record when/if they receive it back.  So gee, wouldn’t I feel better knowing they have received and my credit will be coming? 

So it was shipped to me on the 13^th, I received on 17^th.  I’m sure it will take a week to get back to them, so I’m out $75 for a couple more weeks.  I wish I checked RipoffReport before I purchased but I’m a fairly intelligent internet shopper and regular visitor to Ripoffreport.com and thought I was careful.  Good job Instaflex.   I am asked if I used a credit card as there are reporting options.  I did not,  I did a debit to my checking account and fortunately for me, the timing wasn't such that I overdrew my account.  I only keep enough in there for my bill payments.
