Jared Shafer & Patience Bristol ripped off and murdered my sister Clare.
Patience Bristol & Jared Shafer are two Nevada guardians who through the use of court orders are supposed to protect Senior citizens from exploitation.  This guardian duo steals and embezzles money from the seniors they are supposed to help.
Clare was a wonderful lady who lived in Las Vegas.  She married and remained with her husband for 46 years.  When her husband Tom died Clare fell apart.  Neighbors rushed in and before anyone in our family could react, Patience Bristol and Jared Shafer were assigned to my sister as guardians.

 Jared Shafers first action stopped the family from visiting this beautiful lady.  Patience Bristol said to my son, your Aunt is better off spending her last days alone.  Bristol went on to say most seniors feel better when they can die alone.
The two began removing large amounts of money from Clare's trust.  In the final accounting after Claire passed away, it was revealed Shafer & Bristol made $182,000 in guardian fees during a period of 16 months.  There were charges for sending 200 emails, which amounted to $75 per a online message, which took about 30 seconds to send.  $24,000 for bogus visits by Patience Bristol to Clare, which never took place.  A bill for changing Clare's trust naming Patience Bristol's mother as the primary beneficiary to Clare's estate, which cost  the estate $13,000 for this bogus unauthorized alteration.   Claire never knew or had any personal contact with Patience Bristol's mother. 
Unfortunately the family court Commissioner Jon Norheim approved all of this billing as what he called "guardian's normal course of business activities". 
Claire has passed away and the money she wanted to go to the LDS church went into the pockets of Patience Bristol and Jared Shafer.

Jared Shafer and Patience Bristol brag constantly about their friendship with Senator Harry Reid, state attorney general and mayor of Las Vegas.  Mr. Shafer drops names of powerful protectors like rain drops to anyone who will either listen or attempt to resolve issues with him.  Patience Bristol after her divorce attempts to live her life vicariously through celebrities, which she hopes to meet someday.  It is a sad situation without a remedy.
