I have just purchased a new 2006 Ford Mustang while trading in my 2004 Ford Mustang. The 2004 Mustang was equipped a Sirius satellite radio system that cost $449.00. Our deal and the promise made to me was that Joe Rizza Ford would remove the Sirius system from the 2004 Mustang and install it in the 2006 Mustang. They told me there would be no problems in doing so and the Accessory Manager, Carlo, personally called to verify this fact. Well they completed the installation on December 9th and when I picked up the car it was a completely different and smaller Sirius system. I question the manager, the service technician and the salesman as to why there was a under the dash small unit in there that costs around $80.00 and they all told me I was mistaken that it was exactly the unit that was in the other car. I called Sirius satellite company up and they told me that the car dealer insatlled a SV1 satellite radio plug and play model which is nothing like the the system I had installed in the other Mustang.

So at the very least I would like the cash difference between the two Sirius systems refunded to me. I have purchased in the past a 2001 Mustang and a 2004 Mustang and have never been treated as I have by Joe Rizza Ford. I guess because I am a disabled american veteran that I don't know any better and they can rip me off by thinking I won't do anything about it.

I also bought this new car on November 23rd and it is now December 10th and I have yet to recieve the finance paper work on the car. I have no idea who financed the car, what the APR is, or even when my first payment is due.

At 59 years of age I think it is just terrible how this dealership tries to take advantage of a person my age and as I said as a disabled veteran.

First I would like to clear up a point I made in my original report.

AUTHOR: Raymond - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 11, 2005

That being that I am a disabled veteran. I did not mean for anyone to think I was saying that to get sympathy as there has been pro nad con comments. I am not physically disabled but rather psychologically/mentally disabled at a 100% rating. And I think Joe Rizza Ford thought because of my condition I was an easy "mark".

A friend of mine did some research for me today and we found out that the unit Joe Rizza Ford installed in my car is an outdated Sirius receiver and not sold anymore by retailers. We also found out that the new Sirius "plug and play" receiver only costs $49.99 at any Circuit City or Best Buy stores in the area and if you want them to install it another $70.00. The total of $120.00 is far less than the $204.00 they charged me to supposedly switch the old receiver into the new car.

They have taken me for a fool who will just let this pass by. And in doing so have made a big error in judgement. Thank you for the e-mail addresses you have given me to get directly in touch with William Ford and the Ford Motor Company. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It's Just Terrible

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 10, 2005

It's just terrible the way that bad car dealer took advantage of an old disabled vet when he traded in his 2 year old mustang on a brand new, hard to get into, mustang and then ripped him off on his expensive satellite radio, that you have to pay a monthly subscription to, and on top of that, wouldn't let him see the paperwork he signed. Semper Fi and God Bless our troops and those navy guys too.

Raymond Read this, might help you. I bet your dealer will not like the fact you now have good email contacts.

Raymond I understand how you feel. Many car dealers/sales people will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign the dotted line, then have a fast memory loss as to what they agreed to. I bet they would have given you what you wanted if you told them that you are signing NOTHING until the right radio is installed.

Not many Ford dealers will give you any good Ford Motor Corp email contacts so you can tell FMC as to how you were treated. William Clay Ford the CEO of Ford Motors from what I understand likes to hear what car buyers say and feel about their buying experiences.

HUMMM I think you should email him your self and tell him how you feel about your dealer. William ( Bill ) Ford says they will be closing many car manufacturing plants in the near future. If many Ford car buyers have to go through what you have had to go through, no wonder why they will need to close some plants and lay off so many employees.

Email Wford@ford.com and tell good ole Bill Ford just how you feel. From what I have been told he is not a bad guy. Maybe he will call your dealer and tell them to pony UP and switch out radios and give you what you wanted. Just think Raymond about the bright side. Once you get your satellite radio up and running you will no longer have to listen to your local car dealer commercials any more! That in it's self is a good thing for you.

Email the below people at Ford and maybe they can use your posting to better help steer their dealer's sales people to shoot straight with the car buyer. If

If car dealers don't wake up and try to treat car buyers better, many more car manufactures will be closing plants and laying off their employees. Many car makers shot their wade with the "You pay what we pay" programs. They better wake up. The internet is not like the media, postings and linger for many years.

Hey you bad car dealers, wake up and smell the internet. It can help or hurt you. I am willing to bet many car dealers hate the internet because they can't delete what they do not want car buyers to know. Thank All Gore! LOL

I wonder why car makers DO NOT have email addresses posted of people that want to hear from the car buyers. Hey you car makers, wake up and post email addresses of your employees that want to hear what car buyers have to say.

Not all car buyers will get your CSI surveys in the mail because of all the fake info car dealers write on the RDR cards. Many car dealers would have much lower average CSI scores if the correct customers contact info was written on the RDR cards.

Change your RDR policy. Have a CSI section on your web site that all car buyers must fill out on your web site or the warranty is NO GOOD until after the car buyer comes to your web site and fills out your CSI section. I am willing to bet you would get MUCH LOWER CSI scores on many of your car dealers if the truth be known!

If you don't start a honest relationship with the people that buy your cars, trucks and SUV's you will need to also close many car dealers along with many plants that are soon to be closing.

I have heard on the news that GM and Ford are both going to be laying OFF many. I have not heard that about any of the imports. I wonder why.

If you are an employee of a car maker, ask your company to change their CSI program. See to it that a CSI program is on their web site. Have the car buyers fill out the CSI serveys line on the car maker's web site. Car makers do NOT need a false reading of how their customers feel.

Sales numbers go down when CSI scores go down because word of mouth gets out FAST!

This would also give the car makers a much better reading of their dealers TRUE CSI scores. The bad car dealers would not be able to hide anymore!

#1 Consumer Suggestion

You traded it in!

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 10, 2005

Whether you are or are not a veteran isn't an issue here. Veterans, just like non veterans should not be lied to.

You tradedd in the first satelite receiver WITH the car. Of course, they shouldn't have lied to you. But in the future, have somebody take out the radio BEFORE you trade it in.
