Kaufmans Wedding World Did not provide merchandise in reasonable time nor refund downpayment plus Harrisburg Pennsylvania

In August of 2003 ordered a Mother of the Groom dress. The first selection I was told was not available in the color shown, therefore selected a second color and was informed a week later that it wasn't available nor was the style to which we selected therefor had to choose another dress. I had already put down half of the payment and also paid for a pair of shoes which I didn't receive.

The wedding was the Saturday before Thanksgiving and was told that the dress would be in by the end of October.Well that didn't happen and so I started making pphoine calls and was assured that it would be in in time for the wedding. One week later no dress and so I requested a full refund and also canceld the order. I purchased the dress elsewhere and the altrations were done in plenty of time. We are now talking a week beofre the wedding.

The Thursday before the wedding I received a call that the dress was in and I was literally appalled. I refused the dress and Ira Kaufman and myself and my husband had a blowup over the phone. My questionwas how was I to get the alterations done since the wedding was Saturday, and ghis reply was that the alterations person was with him and he would do them on the spot.

WE are in business ourselves making high quality custom draperies and you don't do on the spot alterations. That is a laugh. Needless to say I am out about 400.00. My other dress was 600.00.
The unfortunate thing is he is taking advantage of people at a time when this is a SPECIAL OCCASION which is very inconsiderate and HE DOEN'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!
