Well first let me say, I am a FORD guy through and through and I love my 03 F150 and still own an 89 GT LE 5.0 mustang red and whit with a white conv. top. Made over Cobra style with 360hp. Super sweet car.. and the truck I had before my F150 was a ford ranger edge 4x4.. like I said FORD guy..
My F150 has been amazing, I mean really it has over 230,000 miles on it and mostly runs like a Champ.. I say mostly because about january 2012 my transmission went out. I was really bummed, I was out in Lake elsinore visiting family no where near where I lived.
So I went to lake elsinore ford to see about getting a bench rebuild done. Walked rite into the service center and asked a guy walking buy if there was a tranny guy I could talk to about my tranny, a guy came up from the garage named JAIME he is there transmission guy. He told me in the service office that the rebuild would cost between 875.00 and 1100.00 I told him sounded about rite. And left my transmission there.. took him about a month to get it done.. (seems a lil long) but was 925.00 instead of 1100.00 so what ever went to pick it up and never got an invoice or warranty with the repair..
So I called the dealership they said he quit and his boss the service mgr. CHAD said that JAIME was fired for ripping off the dealership and customers as well as I am guessin doing bad work.. He than said JAIME didn't do any paperwork or leave any kind of invoice to show any work had been done. I asked them if they thought all of there steeling employees were leaving paper work around to prove there steeling from the company. He said yeah I guess not. But that they still aren't willing to do anything about it.
I have at this point also called ford corporate and they are saying the same thing, they don't care if untrustworthy employees do questionable or down right bad work even if it kills someone.. I have talked to eveyone from the owner of the dealership to customer service at corporate. Left 3 or 4 messages for the customer service mgr. At the dealership and not even 1 call back.. I am mostly sad because I loved my truck and really wanted a good quality job done by my ford dealer, not some 1/2 a** job done by a FORD RIPOFF ARTIST....
so now instead of FORD having a super awesome customer like me that was so happy to tell every one I saw I LOVE MY TRUCK its the best truck ever made.. and FORD IS TOTALLY AWESOME... NOW I have to sell my truck before it kills me or someone else, and my mustang and start the second 1/2 of my life telling everyone I see how bad FORD is how they let there dealerships RIPOFF the public and don't care about PUBLIC SAFTY.. or just doing the rite thing... PLEASE LET THIS BUSINESS KNOW YOU WONT SHOP HERE.. thank you

Lake Elsinore Ford Rebuttal

Just wanted to get the correct story here!!! Jamie was not fired, he left to get a job closer to home and was a good trans tech. and did not rip off a customer or the dealership!! The job in question was a side job that has gone bad and was not done at the dealer, Thomas ( I think this was his name) the owner of the f-150 was visiting the area when he had trans issues. A family member knew Jamie personally and asked him if he could help out. Thomas f-150 was never at the Dealership. and is unknown where he pulled the transmission out at?? Jamie did in fact rebuild the trans. but not here!! and now that there are issues with it and Thomas cannot get ahold of Jamie. He wants Lake Elsinore Ford to warranty it since Jamie worked here at the time. There was never a repair order written for even a carry in trans job under this customers name and no records of him at all. I dont know how he is expecting a warranty when he has no reciept or proof of payment. The dealer has given him all of the contact info we have for Jamie so he may resolve this issue, and are unable to assit Thomas at this point. Thomas has an issue with Jamie NOT Lake Elsinore Ford.
Another issue with this, When you bring a vehicle or part into a Dealer for service, Why would you drop anything off without getting a copy of the work order and why would you not get a reciept before you hand over money??? Just common sense!!!!

To answer your Questions,
Oh and sorry about the rambling, quessin your not a care guy since I said less than 1/2 of what I wanted to..
Thought it was pretty clear in the Rant, But.. 1No it hasn't been fixed.
2No I didn't get any kind of a warranty. because the employee was stealing from the company and customers. 3Not sure if he ever did anything or not, I can only guess since it kind of works now. when I dropped it off at Lake Elsinore Ford it was locked up. 4I think it would be disastrous to have something go wrong at 80 miles an hour on the freeway with a bunch of other cars around you.. 5 why sell.. Why keep a truck from a maker that alows there employees to endanger people.. 6I will trade it in and take the loss of the transmission my self. ofcorse I would never sell it to someone without telling them about the BAD REBUILD DONE AT LAKE ELSINORE FORD.... I am a good person and a service manager myself and would be ashamed of my employee my dealership and FORD...
hope that answered all your questions.. thanks have a great day

In your long rambling story a couple things are not clear.
- Did the guy fix it?
- Did it have a warranty?
- Did he never touch it?
- Why do you think it's going to kill you?
- If you think it's going to kill you, why would you sell it to someone else so they would die?
- Wouldn't you feel guilty about that?
