Yesterday, while checking my online bankstatement i notice a charge for $34.98 that i did not recognize.  While researching this charge i discovered it was for a discount program called the "Liberty Discount Program".

Since i had never heard of them before i got their phone number from the bank and noone answered, big surprize.  The message sent me to a website where i was easily able to cancel my membership.  The online support then sent me to another site where i could apply for a refund which took 10 more visits to the online "support" and almost 4 hours to get the message that my application went through.

The new page said that it would take up to 72 hours just to process my application and then they would let me know if i qualify.

During one of my conversations with the online "support" team i was told that i had to figure out which site signed me up for this program but they couldnt get it for me because it is not in their system.  When i asked how they can verify the information if it is not in their system, the session was ended by the "support" staff.

That is when i tried putting "payday loan" in the field that asks "which site did you use" and the application went through.

Then i started doing some more research on the program and found out there are alot of people that have had this same problem.

Update 1

AUTHOR: Jim Martin - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 28, 2010

Just an update on my refund.

It has now been 96 hours since finally getting my refund application successfully submitted but still no response.

I went back to the site again and contacted the "support" staff through their online chat and was directed to another site because they needed to verify more information.

This site says they will be contacting me shortly by email once they have made their decision. Yeah right!
