Loans of America (the real company)

AUTHOR: Erma - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Unfortunately, this complaint has been filed against the wrong company. Loans of America is located in Florida, and is licensed under FL CH 512 to conduct consumer finance loans in the State of Florida only.

There is a fraudulent company operating from outside of the U.S., possibly in India or Pakistan that is representing themselves as Loans of America, promising people a direct deposit of loan funds after the person purchased a "Green Dot" money card, and gives this company the number so then can withdraw the funds to show good faith on the part of the unsuspecting customer. This comapny reaches the customer through an application they submitted, online, for a payday advance. Needless to say, once the mney is transferred from the money card, nothing further happens, and the customer has been scammed. There have been many people impacted by this scam. There is a lot of information regarding this on the WEB. Just Google Green Dot Moneycard loan scam.

This activity has been reported to many different agencies, including the FBI and The Secret Service, with the same response, which is, we cannot do anything about this since it is out of the country. The question I get from the agencies, is "Why would anyone send money to get a loan?" Obiously, this should never be done, but many people have been scammed.
