Did you get a visual survey of your items?

First of all, it is most important to have a visual survey of your items that you wish to move be done. This way when you get the esitmate, you shouldn't have any additional charges. I say shouldn't because people often forget to mention other items they want moved once moving day rolls around. A reputable moving company will always do a visual survey and normally at no charge to you.
If you are questioning the weight of your shipment, you are entitled to witness the weights upon delivery of your items. You will have to contact Mack Relocation and tell them you want to witness the weights. That means you will have to meet the driver at the scale before unloading and afterwards. You didn't mention how much weight the estimate has on it (either binding or non binding estimates will show the estimated weight). From the inventory that you provided, I came up with a very rough estimated weight of 3500#. Of course that all depends on what is in the boxes. Books obviously weigh more than a box of bedding. That's why I said a very rough estimate.
You are only required by law to pay the estimate plus 10%. So if your estimate was for $1000 (I'm just using easy figures which most likely do not represent your estimate), you would have to pay a total of $1100 to have your items delivered. The remainder, if any, will be billed to you. If you are entitled a refund, you will get that probably within 4-6 weeks after your items are delivered.
It is likely that since your items were loaded on 11/9 and as of 12/26 you still don't have them that your items are in a storage facility somewhere. You will now be required to pay storage fees. On a more ominent note, your items may have been stolen. Did the movers show up in a marked moving van or did they show up in an unmarked truck? If it was the latter, you may have lost your items. Fraudulent movers often have unmarked vehicles. However, if your items were not delivered within the time frame Mack gave you because of circumstances not under their control (truck breaks down, bad weather, something of that sort), you may be entitled to file a delay claim. A delay claim can pay you up to $100 a day for living expenses due to the fact you do not have your shipment. The problem with this is your shipment must weigh more than 4000# to be eligible.
I hope some of my information was helpful to you. I know how stressful it is to move and then not knowing where your items are is even worse. I would definately request to observe the weights at destination. Hopefully you will be eligible to file a delay claim. By the way, I work for a moving company which is why I can help you with a few things.
Good luck to you. I wish you the best.
