Responded to an internet advertisement as seen on the Dr. Oz program for a product called,'Metabo Matrix' (05-12-2016). Filled out the information contact form for the 'FREE TRIAL BOTTLE', but paid the $4.95 for the shipping and handling and only applied for only the trial offer. About four (4 +) weeks later (06/02/2016), I receive a UPS package from the Fulfillment Center containing a 60 capsule bottle of MataboMatrix and a billing statement for $59.95. The billing statement has no customer service number, only the Fulfillment Center address of: P.O. Box 29056, Phoenix, AZ, 85038 . The billing statement gives and order number, order date as 05/31/2016 with a notation that this is a 'monthly order', automatically assigned. I found a Metabo Matrix 'customer service' number at 888-552-3685 on line. I contacted Metabo customer service twice (2) about canceling the bank charge and the product service. In the first call to customer service, I complained that 1) I had not ordered a monthly subscription to the product, but only the 'Trial' bottle which I had paid $4.95. I informed the Metabo representative that after reading the enclosed Metabo pamphlet, I had consulted my doctors advice about the Metabo use. . I was advised for medical reasons , that I should not take Metabo. The phone representative kept trying to 'talk over' our conversation, telling me what a great product Metabo was and could he offer me something else. Finally, I told him to shut up and listen what I was trying to tell him. First, I could not use the product, second I did not order the Metabo in the mail and this was a marketing scam to defraud the public and the banks. This whole marketing ploy was a covert form of theft by the company. The Metabo representative stated he would cancel my monthly subscription, but that I would still have to pay the $59.95 banking charge. The representative (they are instructed not give you there full name or where they are located) stated, he was sorry that i thought it as a marketing scam, but even if,I was to return the product to cancel the bank charge,I would still be charged a 'restocking fee' and would have to pay for the return shipping also. The representative quit the phone contact, alleging since I would not agree to the bank charges and the return charges, he disconnected. Immediately after the phone call, Metabo matrix dispatched a 'Cancellation Notification' of the subscription, but that i would still be charge $59.95 for the product they would not allow me to return, with out additional charges. On June 06,2016, I contacted my credit card company and identified a disputed payment for the $59.95 amount with Fulfillment Center and requested to stop payment. On June 07,2016 I contacted Customer service the second time to confirm the return policy and bank charges. The representative look up the account and informed me by phone that unless I agreed to the return charges, I could not return the product. Any resolution about the payment would have to be resolved by company management. Following this conversation, i am filing a report for others to take note of possible intentions of bank fraud on their personal accounts by Fuifillment Center, a service provider.
