Metro Public Adjusters are one of the bigest mistakes i made in a long time.
The Licensed & Bonded Executive Vice President,Sold us on her companys ability to
go that extra mile for us.
After we sighned contract,I had some questions,to this day she has never returned my calls.
( four attemts ).
The Licensed & Bonded Public Adjuster assigned to my case never sent us his report of claim,(even after many attemts on his voice mail).
The last kicker was, when I did contact him,he didn't know who I was,or know my address even was involved in a claim.
I then contacted the Head Of The Dept.Asked for a new Adjuster,He said he would assign a new adjuster to my case..
Guess what,no new adjuster,no cumunacation at all.
I'm DONE with this Company..
If you read this ,
Please Don't use Metro......

#1 Consumer Suggestion
1-800 Paper Mill Claim Operations
AUTHOR: ClaimAdvocate - (United States of America)

A papermill operation....They try looking bigger than anyone by just adding unqualified handymen to their roster across the country.
There are good Public Adjusters out there, you need to look at the individual and not go with the size of a firm. Ask who will handle my claim and what is his background in writing. If they lie they have committed fraud and you can rescind the contract WITHOUT PENALTY.
A PA will almost always get more for you than going it alone. They should be seasoned adjusters learning their trade from within a carrier for years in underwriting, loss control, rating and claims, not those who were roofers, firemen, truck drivers, and pizza delivery men that took a 3 day crash course in claims. Always check out their background, any good PA will have 20+ years in the business. The fly by nights are just that, little to no actual claim history inside an insurance environment.
You should file a complaint against them with the Dept of Insurance of your State. This can be done over the internet now. Look for consumer complaints and or assistance. At least the State will get the other side of the story and report back to you what they find.
Your not alone out there in finding a dedicated claim advocate, but a good one will give you free advise and a review of your claim and tell you how he will start the process in handling your claim. You will be kept in the loop each step of the way with copies of all reports to the carrier. You need to demand copies of what is going on as it happens. Otherwise they are just a SHAM OPERATION taking your money and not doing anything except file the claim and wait on the staff adjuster to settle the claim. Attorneys are known to do this likewise, as we all know.
Cancel their contract for non performance and request a copy of all the work they did on your behalf. They will tell you its their work product but doubt they have any evidence of work performed if you cant even identify who is the adjuster.
Good Luck
The Claim Advocate
