Midas After multiple visits, and being charged for two water pumps on one visit, the leaks persists. South Burlington, Vermont

In October, we asked for a road worthiness inspection prior to driving our 18 year old Cadillac on a 3000 mile round trip. Among several issues attended to were a leaking water pump and what was presumed to be a leaking oil pan gasket. Owing to the long list of items on the invoice, I failed to notice I was charged for two separate replacement water pumps. Total bill was $1370.

During the trip, the car leaked oil rapidly. When we returned in December, we took it back to Midas where they discovered a leak in the crank shaft seal, and persistent leaking from the water pump. I was NOT charged for the third water pump, but the crankshaft pulley balancer and seal was $332, parts and labor.

A month later, during a routine oil change at another repair shop, we were advised that we still had a leaking water pump, and leaking from the crank shaft seal.
