I read the complaints about Ms Puppy Connection but I wanted to be fair and see for myself if this seller was legit.

I called and first of all the lady starts selling the puppies off the bat which is fine. Doesn't really let me talk or ask questions but continues raving about how her puppies are sold to famous people and boasting about how many she sold this week.

I finally had a chance to ask about several topics such as:

* referrals - I asked for a copy so I could contact the owners. Her response: "On my website, you can see people wrote about their experiences. You can only contact them to email that is on my website." She also said I could contact a famous Spanish actress and get her referral. Yes because famous people would take the time to call/email me about their shopping experience.

* viewing on site puppies - yeah don't count on it. According to the lady, she doesn't really have inventory on site for viewing. HOWEVER on her website, she claims from time to time to have puppies. I told her she can call me when she has them and I can take a flight to see them (I have over a million of miles to use on airlines, yes from many of years of consulting). She said no that she wont have any puppies ever to view. Below is a copy from her website

Where are you located and can I come visit the puppies? MS Puppy Connection is located in Madison, Mississippi, but we are not a facility or pet store. We occasionally have puppies for viewing. Just contact us for available puppies for viewing. We provide an arena where customers like yourself can be matched with the perfect puppy. When your puppy is ready for its new home he/she will be flown directly to you at your local airport or during summer months we have a pet transport whom will drive your puppy to your front door. The pet transport is $350. We have a puppy nanny service that will hand deliver your puppy to you at your closest international airport. The fee for this service is $350 for one puppy and $500 for two puppies. Her fee is $450 to Canada. It is usually same day delivery and the puppy will ride in the lap of the puppy nanny in the cabin. Please note on any of our delivery options that delays are always possible and we can not be responsible for any delays including flight delays or transport delays that may come about as every precaution is taken to ensure the safe travel for your puppy.

*Health of the puppy - I asked her what if the puppy (when it arrives) is sick? Her response: "My puppies are never sick. They dont leave my shop without me inspecting the animals personally and by a vet as well." She explained how the puppies go to her location and she takes them to a vet. Well if you have animals onsite, how come I can go and visit your location?? She said that is not possible. I even asked

*Papers for the puppies - I tried asking about the papers (AKC, etc), and her response: "please go to my website". Yeah, answered my question.

From her website:

Also, it has come to our knowledge that unscrupulous breeders have been calling us to act if they are buying pet puppies for their families and are lying just to get information about our breeding program and lines as our puppies have a very desired look. For that reason we will not issue any registration papers on puppies until we get notification that puppies have been neutered or spayed. This is to protect our lines and our puppies from over breeding and puppy mills. If you would like more information about this please contact us as we DO NOT sell our puppies with breeding rights unless otherwise noted or you have been approved. The cost for our puppies with breeding rights is $6000 as we know many puppy mill breeders will not pay such prices for our puppies with breeding rights. We try and make our puppies affordable to buyers looking for devoted loving pets.

She got really defensiveful when I starting asking her more questions. I explained to her about the bad reviews on the internet about her company and I was doing due diligence on my end. A dog is a huge responsibility and I wanted to make sure what I was getting involved with. People just buy on the spot "oh its so cute" impulse urge. Some of the breeders I have talked to (for my search for my puppy) have interviewed me! Some for over 30 minutes. I dont mind it. They actually care about where the puppy is going to end up. In other words, its not 100% about the money, more about the animal itself.

Finally at the end, she got mad and said "I dont want to see my puppy to you. You are not happy with any of the answers I am giving you". In my mind I was thinking, no - the problem is she wasnt answering any of my questions.

She hung up on me -which is why I am writing this report. This is just foreshadowing of the customer service you will receive.

The bottom line: You will not get an answer to your questions, period. I honestly wanted to buy a puppy from her and I WAS willing to spend the money for the cute puppies. I cant imagine buying a puppy from her and then (god forbid) something is wrong with the puppy, trying to contact her and see what she could do.

People keep missing the point

AUTHOR: Smartdogmom - (U.S.A.)

I'm glad to read the above report.  I thought this person was a savy puppy buyer.  Unfortunately her response to this puppybroker changed my opinion.  Why do you want a "teacup?"  You even say that they have health issues, so why not buy a normal (healthy) sized dog from a reputable show breeder?  Most standard size toy dogs are 3-5lbs, that's tiny enough!  People who create the demand for tiny dogs are the one who are responsible for all the health problems they have.  Anyone who would pay $4k+ for a teacup dog is not only stupid (you can buy one from from an ethical show breeder for less) but so superficial that they would promote the destruction of a breed just to satisfy their desire for novelty size pet.  If you truly wanted a lifetime companion, you would be more concerned w/ health than size.  That 3-5lb dog from the show breeder is not going to have a liver shunt, a heart defect, hydrocephalus (water on the brain, accompanied by seizures and shortened lifespan), crippling othepedic issues (slipped knee caps, which cost upwards of $5k to fix surgically), etc.

To the puppy broker: the reason you have so many puppymills wanting your dogs for breeding is b/c that's the only kind of breeder that would want them.  What you are breeding toward is highly unethical!  Show breeders know that those extreme "baby doll faces" are not healthy.  Dogs w/ faces like that are at an increases risk of eye injury, palate defects, heat stroke and breathing problems.  Ethical breeders also don't breed "teacups."  Every toy breed club in existence has a page dedicated to educating the public about the dangers of buying "teacup dogs."  Why do you think that is?  They are unhealthy!

MS puppy connection - still couldnt get answers to simple questions

AUTHOR: Trying to find a pup! - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, October 31, 2010

I am glad you remember me. Here's the issue. I called not to get on your nerves or attack you but to get answers to my questions about your puppies. I have been looking for a dog for months and sadly with teacups, a lot of health issues could arise. I came close to buying another dog but she had medical issues and the breeder told me before a bought the dog. The breeder was upfront and honest which I appreciated greatly from her and saved a lot of drama.

However, with you when I asked about if the puppy came to me sick or if I found out the puppy was sick through a vet -what would happen, how would your business take of this situation - your response was "My puppies dont leave sick, they are all healthy". That doesnt answer anything. You avoided the question completely. However in your mind, you think I didnt like the answer.

If I am going to invest $4k of my money to you for a puppy, yes I will ask a million questions. However when I was asking you questions and you couldnt give a direct answer and kept dodging the questions, it looks suspicious.

You could potentially be a great seller of puppies and your puppies may be 100% healthy and everyone may love them and have no issues but the truth of the matter is your conversation with me didnt really make me feel like you were being truthful.

Its it not about rudeness or not liking a response, its about plainly answer a question in a straight forward manner. Your main response to my other questions where "You just dont like my answer" or "Its posted on the website".  Yet again most of the answers to my questions are not posted your website, thus the reason why I called you in the first place.

I dont like people wasting my time and so I really try not to waste other peoples' time out of respect. So when I called you, it was really because those questions I could not find answers on your website or other forms of publications of your business. You are not comfortable with people asking you questions and you made it sure to start blaming your competitors about bad mouthing you. How about just answering the question?

We can refuse sell to Anyone

AUTHOR: Mspuppyconnection - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, October 30, 2010

Okay... Yes, I remember exactly who you are. I chose not to do business with you because every time I answered a question that you asked me directly you had something negative to say in return. I explained to you that shopping local might be the best option for you because 90 percent of the time when I have puppies in my home they are already sold and are in waiting to go to their homes. On my website it says WE Occasionally have puppies at our home for viewing. That does not mean that at the time you called and wanted to visit our location that we had puppies for viewing as I explained that to you over the phone. In business I have the right to refuse sale to anyone and I explained from the tone that attitude that you had with me on the phone that I wished not to sell you a puppy. So, if that is reason enough for you to write a complaint online about us then I guess that you is your on opinion. Again, I really dont think you were truly interested in buying a puppy from me as I feel it was interrogation from the start. I do not want to sell a puppy to someone who will be worried the entire time about getting a puppy from us as most of my buyers are confident after speaking with me and getting the full nature of our business. You were very rude from the beginning of our conversation til the end and I explained to you that I DID not want to sell you a puppy and that was the end of it.

Also... Just for the record.. We have a competitor from California who is posting false reviews about our business and a subpoena has been issued to rip off report to prove it to be so. So, once again I have nothing to hide.

Just so everyone knows anyone can write anything online these days under a fake name and post false complaints. It is malicious, hateful and down right ridiculous to believe half of the things that are written. If you want true fact just ask for customer references as I do give them out to certain buyers who I feel are really interested in buying a puppy.

If you read a complaint online about a business ask for verification that they actually did buy the dog and prove it to be true before just reading it and taking it to heart because again rip off report does not require any documentation to be sent to them before a complaint is written. I do not know of any complaints boards that require documentation.

Again... I am sorry if You felt I was being rude to you but, you called me with a chip on your shoulder and it clearly states on my website as well we can refuse sell to anyone we do not feel would offer our puppy the best possible home.
