mybob.net Bob Piker RIP OFF Normal Illinois

I was going to let this go, but I feel obligated to let others know and hopefully  keep them from making the same mistake.

1. Contacted Bob from www.mybob.net discussing a service and repair on a vintage Bulova Accutron watch.
2. He replied with pricing of $190 and a time frame of 4-weeks for the service to be complete
3. I sent him the watch and paid via Paypal.com
4. After 4 weeks passed, I emailed Bob and he told me he would not be able to make the time frame
5. I told him that was fine, I would rather him take his time instead of rushing
6. Fast-forward almost 4 months later, I received a notification from USPS that the watch was being shipped back to me - never a message from Bob.
7. I received the watch and immediately noticed it was still not working properly--stopping every few seconds.
8. I made a video of the issue and posted it to youtube and sent Bob the link so he could see I wasn't lying.

10. I also filed a claim with Paypal for services not rendered.
11. I received a refund and a message from Bob telling me how a 50-year-old watch may need more fine tuning
12. When I got up this morning, I discovered the watch had completely stopped.
13. I decided to open up the back to see if he had done ANYTHING other than maybe changing the battery. It was apparent that he did NOT do a service and repair, as the seals were old and broken.
14. I also noticed the tiny bar that holds the battery is now missing.

Spend the extra money and save yourself the time and heartache of dealing with Bob Piker at www.mybob.net. Find a reputable repair shop -- preferably one authorized by Bulova.
