North American Relocation Services Bait and Switch Nationwide

My final now packed list was provided 48 hours prior to move date in advance to North American but their policy for any kind of refund (which is a pittance for what they ask upfront) is 72 hours. I immediately cancelled the move once I knew what type of company I was dealing with and went with a local reputable mover. At that point they tried to hold me hostage to the NEW quote by telling me they would take my deposit if I did not keep my appointment for the move and YES they did take my deposit of over $1300.

Keep in mind when you sign and give a deposit this does not mean you will pay the quoted amount they provided, EVEN when you have less items they can revise and charge more for less after the fact. Note, once they have your signature on the original quote you are locked in, and if you don't agree they can and will take your deposit should you cancel based on the NEW price! Beware.
